Sorry. I'd seen that one and thought I answered.

The bag looks fine.

"Genuine leather Coach Messenger bag"

Finally got a creed picture - is there a way to tell the stewardess weight? I'm in search of one but didn't know if this was a serial or style number. I know there was mention of the two newer styles weight difference.

Thank you in advance!

It is authentic. This is the reissue made in 2012. I believe it is lighter weight leather than the original. The front flap looks stained.

Definitely fake. No padded area above the turnlock, wrong inside zipper and zipper pull, and the number is on the Daria48 Fakes List at Ebay as well as my list here at tPF. And "scrtches" isn't in my dictionary OR Coach's.

Just curious -- Why do these con artists bother to display the creed on a fake bag. If the potential buyer is clueless about the authenticity, the creed won't impress them anyway -- and if the buyer IS a specialist as you are, they'll be busted immediately....are they just hoping to dupe as many customers as they can? It seems like these crooks are multiplying daily, lol.

They show the creed because they have no clue that the bag is fake. Many sellers don't take the time to get their bags authenticated. They have just enough knowledge to know a creed picture is important but not enough to know what makes it fake, even when it is pretty obvious like this one. I'm continually surprised at how few people actually read creeds. They see there is one and think that automatically makes the bag authentic.

ETA: Your question made me look at the seller's other items. The seller beadalooo also has this fake:
