  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

I was just a bit unsure about the creed stamp and the tag seemed really thin compared to the one on my other coach bag which was purchased in store. Have added a few more pics.

Hi ladies! eBay just sent me a message saying they removed one of my items for trademark violation! I feel pretty confident this bag is authentic, but can you please look it over for me to be sure? Thanks so much!

Item: Vintage Coach NYC Square Clutch Shoulder Bag
In my possession.
Notes: I can't measure at the moment, but if I recall from my listing I think it was about 11x9x1.5", anchor stamped clasps, one interior flap pocket.

I'm sorry this happened to you. It is authentic. I don't see one thing that is questionable. I wonder what idiots reported it and what idiots believed them. I don't know how much luck you will have fighting ebay on it. They might require that you get a paid authentication before they will remove the ding on your account and allow you to relist.

Thank you, I felt pretty sure this one was authentic. I'm a little shocked they pulled this listing. I have some other vintage bags up and have good feedback, I hope someone isn't just reporting me to be a jerk! Guess this bag can go up on etsy. I'm not sure it's worth making a stink over with eBay :(

You get a ding on your account. If you get enough dings, they could put limits on your account. It is probably worth seeing if they will remove the ding.

Ugh, I don't want that to happen :( Guess I will give them a call tomorrow. Thanks for the info, I'm newer to eBay selling and still learning about these things.

Called eBay. Our conversation did not go well. He said that the story patch photo was deemed inauthentic according to their Coach-provided guides. I explained to him why my bag is authentic and that I'm very familiar with vintage Coach. Long story short, it got heated and in the end they still won't let me relist. [emoji107]

That's very disappointing! Whatever "guide" they're using, provided by Coach or not, is being misunderstood or applied incorrectly if someone concluded this bag was fake.

That's exactly what I told him, that they are interpreting their "guide" incorrectly. He sounded sympathetic to my plight, but in the end wouldn't help me. He said "I would tell you how you could improve your listing so this doesn't happen again, but I don't want to give you false information." So I think I will just relist with new photos and hope for the best.

I wouldn't. Until you get the go-ahead to relist, you could get into even more trouble with ebay if you do.

Blergh. Not feeling good about this one.

Measures 8.5" wide X 6.5" tall.

I think you already know the answer. I hope you can get your money back. I'm surprised you are still buying there.
I'd really like to see the listing posted in the format requested/required in post #1. Often, these sellers have more than one fake! And even if it's the only one, the ID should be outed in order for others to avoid.

Here is the post with comparison pictures: http://forum.purseblog.com/threads/answers-to-authenticity-questions.94198/page-103#post-30441858
I posted them with your information on your behalf.

Ah! And now I remember why I didn't post it myself! I'd sent you a PM.
*wink*

Is PM bad about taking returns on un-authenticated bags? Haven't had to try yet but the prices are always tempting to me! And the thrill of the hunt of course

They suck at authenticating. I had a really hard time getting refunded for a very obvious fake and even after giving them proof of everything they still denied a refund. It took me multiple emails and links to authentication from here which they completely blew off. In the end they refunded me but still claimed the fake bag was authentic.

The prices are pretty good sometimes. That's the reason I bought this one and now again having to go through the pain in the árse process of getting refunded.
I just have an editorial comment (JMHO) regarding Poshmark. I don't recommend the site nor will I authenticate items listed there because I don't want to help that miserable company's bottom line.

For over two years, I've reported hundreds of fakes using the "report" link on Poshmark and have NEVER EVER seen a listing removed. I've also posted polite comments on listings letting sellers know where they can get free authentications if they question that the item is fake and I've been cursed, blocked, called a troll and worse. Not only do the listings get sold to ripped off buyers but Poshmark ignored the reports.

Then a few months ago, after @houseof999 's experience where Poshmark's experts claimed her obvious fake was authentic and gave her a hard time about a refund, I vowed to voice my feelings toward them.

They don't care about keeping an honest site, they don't protect sellers from unwarranted accusations and they don't protect buyers who've been ripped off by dishonest sellers.
