Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

• Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
• Made in tags (when available)
• Measurements
• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
• For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
• If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Is PM bad about taking returns on un-authenticated bags? Haven't had to try yet but the prices are always tempting to me! And the thrill of the hunt of course

They suck at authenticating. I had a really hard time getting refunded for a very obvious fake and even after giving them proof of everything they still denied a refund. It took me multiple emails and links to authentication from here which they completely blew off. In the end they refunded me but still claimed the fake bag was authentic.

The prices are pretty good sometimes. That's the reason I bought this one and now again having to go through the pain in the árse process of getting refunded.

I've never heard of that site until now. We need to see the small tags that show the style number and place of manufacture. Read the first post of this thread for more information. Is there something specific that concerns you?

Serial numbers (since 1994) aren't unique so multiple bags of the same style can have the same serial number but fakes can also have the same number. (Counterfeiters can copy anything and it's just as easy to put a "legit" number on a fake as it is to make up a fake number to use.)

In order to authenticate your bag, we'd need to see pictures of the actual bag.

Can you take and post one more photo? It would help to see the back of the oval plate that the turnlock goes through, it's on the back of the purse's flap. It seems ok but it's hard to find another all-leather bag from that plant to compare it to.

And BTW, you don't start a thread for authentication requests, that's what this thread is for.
