Is this authentic? I can't see the serial numbers well but it has the "bean bag" statement.
Item: back pack
Creed: illegible

The Coach logo at the top is too big compared to the rest of the creed, it looks like "leather ware" is 2 words and it never should be, and there's a detail on that bag that never would have been in a real Bean Bag-creeded item that was only made in one year - 1990.

FAKE.

Thank you for verifying! I suspected fake based on just the stitching and the pebbled leather look. Was this bag ever made with pebbled leather?

And to add to the fakes that BeenBurned spotted in October, she now has a fake "Court Bag" in her current listings!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Court...198608?hash=item360e014690:g:b50AAOSw5cNYQwEV
The serial font is completely wrong for the D plant.

And yes, the FAKE Weston at Etsy is exactly the same fake that she had listed on Ebay in October - same exact serial number font, and the same missing leather pieces at the end of the dowel. She's also using the same photos.

PROVINTAGEGEAR at Etsy is the same careless fakes seller as THATWHOLESHEBANG at Ebay. Fake Coaches have been listed and/or sold under both IDs

I operate ProVintageGear 'Beenburned' notified me that this was determined to be counterfeit and I have pulled the listing and will not offer it for sale again. I have NO relationship with "THATWHOLESHEBANG at Ebay." Greg Gibbs owner of ProVintageGear @ Etsy

I'm playing catch up so I apologize if the question was already answered.

This is a good catch, @Catbird9.

Two Michigan sellers, ebay seller thatwholeshebang and Etsy seller ProVintageGear are selling the same fake bag.
This is a cache of the removed ebay listing from thatwholeshebang:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:9CWbzaCzq1EJ:www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Weston-Brown-LEATHER-Purse-Tote-Shopper-Shoulder-Bag-Handbag-9021-/331993509744?hash=item4d4c5aef70:g:8z8AAOSwLF1X9~sI+&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

And this is the listing from Etsy seller ProVintageGear:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/475641140/holiday-sale-coach-brown-leather-weston?ref=hp_rv

And as shown in the side by side comps of the creed pictures from both listings, they are definitely the seller peddling the same bag.

We have removed the bag from ProVintageGear because we do not knowingly sell fake bags. We have no relationship with the other sellers that posted a similar Weston referred to in this thread.

You might want to look for older Sonoma backpacks, but I don't remember any of them being made in a Handle Backpack #9992 style, which I think is what this fake is trying to be. The real ones were only made for about a year and only in regular smooth leather, but they were widely faked. Coach may also have made a few new backpack styles in pebbled leather. An Ebay Search for "coach backpack pebbled leather" turned up 230 hits, but they're mostly newer styles.

It wasn't I who contacted you but I speak for myself (and I think others) when I say that we always appreciate a seller who does the right thing when notified that they have a counterfeit item listed.

I will say that it was my comparison of the 2 fake bags that showed the same markings and dings in the leather indicating that they are the same bag that both you and thatwholeshebang had listed.

Thank you so much! Truly appreciate it!

The Willis was introduced in the second half of 1993, so the ones from that year will still have the old all-number serial numbers in the 4+3 format.
Thank you so much, Hyacinth. The tan Willis looked, felt and smelled like a Willis, but I couldn't be sure without the style number and couldn't find any other source regarding the year the Willis first came out. It is one I was especially hoping could be confirmed as authentic.

Could you please authenticate these two bags? Thank you!

Item 1: Court Bag (I think?)
Source: In my possession

Item 2: Really don't know! It's a small brown purse with a long flap and long, thin strap. It's cute, though. I would appreciate any information you could tell me about it.

Both are authentic. The second is a compact pouch 9620 if it is about 7 x 7. Remember if you want an ID, we need measurements for bags that don't have the style number in the creed.
