Creed: J8Y-9038
Seller: edijon
Comment: I've never seen a valid J8Y, is this one of them?
I asked for a better photo but that's the best the seller could do with the camera he/she owns. The seller said it was made in China.

Daria48 hath writ:
"J8Y- and J8H- prefixes - UPDATE
every J8Y- AND J8H- prefix is fake and all the photos I have of bags with that prefix, from the almost perfect fakes to the really obvious ones, all have exactly the same font in the serial number, which is proof that they're all from the same source and therefore, all fake."
http://www.ebay.com/gds/Fake-Coach-Serial-Numbers-Part-2-/10000000179041909/g.html
That particular bag has other problems besides the creed that prove it is fake.

It's a 9020, maybe a mini hobo? The leather is not luscious like my other vintage Coaches and the back of the inside pocket flap is sandpaper-feel. Sup with that? See more photos...

Coach stitching often wasn't perfect, and leather textures can vary for a lot of reasons. The less "perfect" leather pieces were often used on places like pockets where they wouldn't be seen.

I don't see any problems with the creed and that's the hardest part to fake, it looks genuine to me. And please remember to post photos of the ENTIRE bag. There's no way to tell from your photos what style it is, so all I'm going to say is that the CREED looks genuine.

Read post number One in this thread for the details we need for an authentication.

Both are authentic. That's the correct stamping for the Mexican plant.
