Hi - I have this awesome looking drawstring bag and I wanted to make sure it is authentic before doing anything with it. The quality is wonderful and I don't see any red flags other than that the creed is really faint, but I found another one on ebay and the creed is identical in case that means anything....
http://www.ebay.com/itm/RECONDITION...587?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35e478479b
I put some eye shadow on it to bring up the wording and posted a lot of photos of the creed so you can see it as well as possible.
As always, thanks so much!
PS Measures 10" x 14" x 5.5"

It is authentic. Often fakes will stamp the creed on the pocket rather than above it. It is a large Legacy drawstring. The leather on these is wonderful and they all seem to have that very faint creed, which seems odd, given that they were made in the early 2000s.

Thank you!!! The leather is one of the nicest I have seen, and I have seen a lot of Coach..lol.
I was a little worried because I thought the stamp should have been ON the pocket,
which would have meant it was counterfeit I see now.
TA-TA!!

Hello, I sold this bag and I was told that it is not authentic..the problem is everything looks spot on to me and I own over 50 Coach bags so I am not a novice. The style number on the creed is strange but that does not mean its fake, it could be an outlet bag or a promo. Can someone please tell me if I am crazy? Or is this bag in fact authentic Coach? Thanks!

We've found apparent fakes with that 12345 style number before, mostly from infamous "samples" seller" randiesstuff ". One of her "12345"s is below.

A post a few years back also mentions a Colorblock style she listed that had the same 12345 style number:

Posts about bags with that number can be Searched for here at the main Coach forum and by searching for that seller's name too

No photos but the poster describes #12345 as a Gallery Tote, 14x12x5 and bought from the outlet in December 2008

Black background on the Coach part of the Carriage emblem, bag is brown

Style number 12345 shouldn't have been out until mid-2008 according to the number sequence, this one's dated November 2007

The add-on "metal" Carriage logo is a BIG problem. The earliest genuine one I can find is on style # 12927 Amanda Satin Mini Satchel and the creed dates on all of those are July 2008 at the earliest. As soon as that was introduced the emblems became standard on most of the styles. So how does a bag with a style number sequence AND 2-piece Carriage emblem with a production date of November 2007 fit when both are 6-8 months too early???

Your bag has the same VERY questionable prefix as the other 12345s we found - K0794 meaning made in November 2007, which doesn't fit with the known production dates for the Carriage emblems.

That number should probably be on the Fake Numbers List but right now I don't have any trustworthy photo of what the genuine 12345 actually looked like, although some evidence points to it being a Mini-Sig Gallery Tote made for the Factory Stores and with an "F" prefix - search for "Coach 12345" on Ebay.

I think if you bought that bag from anyplace or anyone other than a Coach store, you were probably sold a fake. BELOW is a fake in a different style with the same serial number, the 3rd and 4th photos show what comes up on Ebay when I search for that style number. All the Ebay listings for # 12345 show the same style.

Where did you buy that bag?

FAKE - first 2 photos
PROBABLY GENUINE, MADE FOR FACTORY - 3rd & 4th PHOTOS

FAKE:
The color combination looks like it is from 2012. It is similar to the Madison Kara Carryall #22701 and the Carrie 22271. Besides the incorrect style number, the date code is many years too early.

From what I've been able to find, if this is authentic, is that it is a vintage Coach court bag from the early 1990s.
The seller said the rough dimensions are 9.5" x 7.5"
The seller removed the original post after I said I would take it which had the clear images of the serial number, creed, and entire bag. The serial number was 0986-215.

Thanks for any info!

Thank you -if ok, what is it named??

It's NOT OK, it's a complete FAKE. Fake style, and a very fake serial number with an incorrect font, invalid plant code, month code, and creed statement formatting for the supposed year code (2002) and a style number belonging ONLY to a mid-size Multi Zip handbag.

Please report, everyone.

BB, can you check the seller's Dooney?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-DOO...409?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cf26b0fb9
The Dooney is authentic although not vintage. It's probably 9-10 years old. I think the doodle Dooneys were intended to compete with the scribble Coaches.

I'll offer a third opinion that your bag is fake.

Style 12345 was a MFF bag and would have "F" in front of the style number. Yet none of the fakes have the F.

Here's another example of the authentic version of the bag:
http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/coach-gal-khaki-tote-bag-12345-77620435

Respectfully, owning a bunch of Coach bags (even 50 of them) doesn't necessarily make one an expert. We've seen a lot of obvious fakes but we've also seen some scary "good" ones.

Although your bag could fool some, it's not as "good" as some fakes since it has a completely invalid serial number for its style.

And since you say you aren't a novice, I assume you also have some selling experience. If you want to protect your reputation (and ebay account), it's a good idea to have items you didn't purchase from a legitimate retailer authenticated before listing them. You can't always trust your own instinct.

And if you have more bags you got from the same "source," you might want to return them for refunds.

From what I've been able to find, if this is authentic, is that it is a vintage Coach court bag from the early 1990s.

It seems to be genuine but a picture of the entire bag would help.
