Thanks Hyacinth I've been to one outlet in Cookstown (a tanger outlet) but not much selection there but I will take your advice and not rush into buying. Thanks for all your help
The outlets can really be hit or miss. I think in the half dozen times I've gone to mine I've only actually bought anything twice. I live really close to one so I can justify going fairly often fortunately/unfortunately. :D

The Legacy Signature Cotton Hobo is also authentic.

The Retro Stroll Tote #9004 is from the 1991 Retro Collection.

You're welcome!

The Mulberry is special because they don't come up very often since they were only made for a short period of time. Actually all the bags you got are somewhat rare. They are all from the same time period, which makes me wonder if they originally came from the same person's collection.

Thank you again Hyacinth and Whateve. I really appreciate that you don't mind to share your time and expertise.

I imagine that for those of you that have been using and collecting Vintage Coach for a long time, it comes to a point where you look for a certain style or color to add to your collections. In my case everything and I mean everything, LOL is different, exciting.. My criteria for buying is that they catch my eye, I think that I can make them look better and of course they are in my budget.

I found an interesting label inside the pocket of the Mulberry, I do not know if it's significant or not, but I wanted to share in case that might help with authentications.

I live an hour and a half from 2 outlets last month was the first time I had every been to an outlet. I found 3 nice clutches/wristlets. I think I am going to make a trip again once it warms up

Are these authentic? Looking to purchase one for summertime use. Thanks

Probably authentic, at least I don't see any obvious problems. But if either of them have creed patches it would be nice to see them. More opinions are welcome

There are always a LOT of Swingpacks listed on Ebay, and it's a long time 'til Summer, so don't be in a rush. Shop around a bit before you decide. If you're within easy driving distance of a Coach outlet, it might be worth a trip before you make a final decision, Swingpacks are usually in good supply and at good prices. I think there are 2 Factory Stores near Toronto and one in Niagara Falls.
I agree that both are probably fine.

A 90-minute trip is a long ride to take unless you're going on a shopping spree. And because it's so far, you might be both tempted to buy more than you might otherwise get because you want to make it worth the trip or you might be limited to whatever they have on that one day.

I do not need authentication on this, just sharing in case that the authenticators want scans of the paperwork for their archives, or something like that. I knew I was getting paperwork with the Swinger, but the other one was a surprise as it was inside a pocket, good I checked before dunking.
The both have the Care instructions, saying do not attempt to clean ink or grease, let it be and with time it will be less noticeable, (I will pass that info to the Rehab ladies, LOL). One announces the new line of Lightweights, and has a mini catalog of accessories, the other one has a little booklet with bags, the quality control, etc... very interesting stuff :smile1:

Perhaps you already have several of this, but they are the first for me, never saw them in person before and I am happy I got them

That being said, it would probably be worth going to the Coach Outlet website and signing up to get notifications when its open. (It's only open sporadically but they have decent sales.) However I'm not sure what the shipping charges to Canada would be like...

Thanks. And thanks for letting me know about the strap. The bag from Goodwill was a stewardess! It has four metal feet and the pocket under the flap. Yay!
You're welcome! Congrats on the stewardess!

I was like that too when I first started collecting vintage bags. At first, I concentrated on getting pretty or unusual colors. After awhile, I realized that I had too many small impractical bags and then switched to getting styles that I could use. Now I'm at the point where there are specific rarer styles I want. Shopping at thrift stores is a different experience than shopping on ebay. On ebay I can stand to be selective whereas finding a vintage Coach at a thrift store is such a rare experience for me that I'd likely buy any I could find if it was a decent price.

My bag from the Carriage Classics collection also has that sticker inside the pocket with the patent information for the snap. These were the first snaps that Coach used in bags. On later snaps, all that information, including that symbol with the "R", is stamped into the metal. The sticker is further proof that the bag is authentic but I'm sure that many of the stickers in other bags haven't survived.

Great finds! I keep pictures from those mini catalogs on my computer. Sometimes that is the only information I can find about certain styles. On the front of the booklet with pictures of bags, there is a 4 digit date code. If you'll provide that, I might be able to tell if there could be pictures in there that I don't have. It will also be a clue as to when your bag was made. Or you could just give me a list of the styles that are in it. I'd really appreciate the opportunity to get photos of styles I don't have yet. I've seen the care instructions before and I have an accessories sheet but mine is from a different time period, so that might also have styles I don't have. I actually never had the style number for the small swinger, so thanks for that too! I've never seen the announcement of Lightweights either. Any pictures you want to post, I'd be happy to see.

I found the number on the booklet.... 8306

I will scan everything and post it, so whoever needs something or just as curiosity can take a look. Do I post it in this thread or do you suggest another one? Happy to do it.
