Thank you and be safe!

That's a shame, but maybe it's for the best. I hope the seller is made to pay the return postage for the damaged bag, especially since it wasn't shown or disclosed in the listing. That's a VERY bad way to run a business!

I agree, and similar to what you said, I do believe everything happens for a reason. If you would like, I can update you on how the return is handled, and if I run into any issue, so future buyers can be aware.

Thanks Hyacinth-I got obsessed with having a horse&carriage charm for some reason this week.I figured if I didn't like it I could resell it if it is authenticate. I did see that are a couple other similar bracelets/ keychains that sold or were listed on ebay.

.Can you give me an idea of the time frame the Hamptons Leather Satchel 12444 was produced???Thanks for your time-hope you are doing well.S.

It was made in 2008, and I think many of them may have been Made For Factory.

If the seller refuses to do the right thing, I'm sure other potential buyers here would like to know his or her selling ID so they can avoid that seller in the future.

hi ladies....does everything look ok with this one?? did this style come in any other colors???

I don't even know what style it actually is, since the name isn't in my files, so I can't answer your question. I've seen one other picture of one in a meduim to dark blue. Please note that it's a very small bag, only about 7x6 inches. The strap reminds me of some of the Legacy West bags from the same time period.

The seller's name is "0632lovemybaby". I got a reply from her (or him?) stating that I should call coach to ask for a refund. I smell a scam...exactly how does one call another company that you did not purchase the item from, asking for a refund? *shaking my head* Anyway, I tried asking once more for a refund. In the event she/he refuses I will take it further up the chain.

Take it further up the chain NOW. The seller is stalling. The bag was NOT "As described" and that's not Coach's problem, it's the seller's. Let HER take it to Coach for repairs. If you kept it and took it to Coach only to be told it was unrepairable, or worse yet, fake, what then?

Hi! I was looking to buy a vintage Coach Rambler and came upon these listings. I suspect the first bag may be fake since the last four digits of the serial number don't match the Rambler's code and there's a huuuuge space between the "No." and numbers (also, it's hard to read the creed for errors). The bag itself also just looks...odd? It seems rounder than a Rambler should be, but I can't tell if that's simply due to the image distortion. And the grain of the leather doesn't look as fine as that of other Ramblers, though that could just be due to dryness. Would you mind authenticating them? Thank you so much in advance!

Wow, I'm speechless! How does she figure Coach is responsible for her not describing items accurately?

I wouldn't want the first bag even if it was genuine. As it is, not only does it have a wrong serial number, but the difference in the leather grain between the flap and the rest of the bag really ruins it. It also looks like it's been over-conditioned or treated with something that makes the other leather sections very shiny, and Coaches aren't supposed to be that way. The -9992 or -9982 style number in the bag doesn't match anything Coach ever made. The seller describes it as having "Different colors of metal hardware, gold and silver tones." which a genuine Coach shouldn't have. There's no doubt in my mind that it's fake.

The other 2 bags are genuine and from before 2000.

Please read and Save the six Salearea Coach Guides for information on how to read serial number codes in bags made since 1994.

And this one please.

Any idea if this strap is long enough for crossbody, btw? Thanks!

Genuine. The seller lists the strap drop as 19 inches and there may be 2 or 3 inches of adjustment left, 1 inch of length equals one half-inch of drop.

I don't have any of Coach's measurements, but according to the measurements other sellers are giving for the same style, it should work as a crossbody unless someone's very tall or very zaftig, Rubenesque, or "fluffy", whichever word you prefer.

Good afternoon! Oh my, well after a few more times back and forth, including her request (and my refusal) to do a partial refund, I finally was sent a return label, emailed from the seller. I would have escalated it at that point, however, in order to follow ebay's guidelines and not overstep my bounds, I needed to at least wait 3 days and try to resolve the issue with the seller first. I did call ebay's customer service center, just to verify the process, in that after that time has passed - as ebay's online return guideline states - that ebay would refund my money through their buyer protection program, and that I would receive a return label through them. Luckily, I did not have to take it any higher. If I did, and ebay wasn't able to back me up, I believe I also could request a refund through paypal's buyer protection program (now that ebay and paypal operate separately). I think ebay has a "file claim" window of 30 days, and paypal is 180. Hopefully no one has need to use this info, but I thought I would post it in case it can be of help to anyone on TPF.

I am waiting for this bag to arrive, and I am super excited about it. I know it looks to be in rough shape, but I am hoping to change that. Please let me know if its real and if possible the style name. I think its form the 70's if I reading the guide right that has been posted here.

http://www.shopgoodwill.com/viewItem.asp?itemID=30595026

Since it looks like a City Bag and since that style wasn't introduced until 1987, it's not going to be any earlier than that. You're not taking the bag style introduction date into consideration at all. Yours would have been made in 1987 or very early 1988.

Any recently updated Guide would have put the possible dates of that arrangement of creed and serial number details as between maybe very late 1970s and up to 1987 thru early 1988, depending on the style of the bag.
