Genuine, but it certainly hasn't had much love in its life, has it? I think it needs a good home.

Thanks for the fast help, hun! And I totally agree, she's home with me now and headed for some TLC. Probably a soak for reshaping. There aren't any tears, but a good bit of dye fading. She'll be in the rehab thread I'm sure :)

Also, sorry about the photos earlier, I had very bad reception in that store lol.

I know the taft is faked a lot, thanks, ladies

1- genuine, from 1998, but hard to believe it was never used. Although the 2 creed photos seem to show different levels of wear even though they're apparently of the same exact creed stamp, the fine scratches on the inside pocket usually are made by hands wearing some kind of jewelry, especially rings and watches, or even just from fingernails. So it may have had at least some use, or at least someone checking it over. But it is in excellent condition.

2 and 3 - both genuine

Thanks, Hyacinth. I bought the black legacy zip. I have several "new" vintage bags I have bought in the past that turned out to be fakes. So if it's genuine I don't mind if it has been used, although I wish sellers would be more honest.

HELLO ALL! GEEZ, It's been soooo long since I've been on TPF...they changed up the whole website. WOW!
Where all all the Emoticons??-Im too confused for a Monday

Thank you in advance for your help!

CHEERS! S

It looks like it COULD be the genuine bracelet from the Hamptons Leather Satchel 12444, but those are very hard to authenticate and I don't have enough trustworthy photos to do it. If it was ever sold as a separate jewelry item, there's nothing in my files.

Just remember to compare "apples and apples", meaning that the 2 bags are the same style number, and it's an even bigger help if they were made in the same plant and month but that might not be possible.

There's a tiny white fabric tag that's usually sewn into the inside seam of one of the inside pockets, usually in the largest one with the zipper. The style number and plant production codes are printed on that tiny tag now instead of being stamped on the creed patch like they used to be, so comparisons are a bit harder but still possible.

Good luck!

Hi Hyacinth! Thank you again for your assistance! I just wanted to send an update, just in case BeenBurned comes online and views my original request for authentication. There is no further need to authenticate this bag. I just received it, and it was damaged on arrival. The snap feature above the zipper was broken. I double-checked the original listing and the seller did not show photos to reflect nor mention the damage to that feature of the bag. Therefore, I requested a refund for DOA. I truly cannot thank you enough for all the help you've given me, and I will never make the mistake again of purchasing a handbag online - at the least without getting it authenticated here. Enjoy your day (^_^)v

That's a shame, but maybe it's for the best. I hope the seller is made to pay the return postage for the damaged bag, especially since it wasn't shown or disclosed in the listing. That's a VERY bad way to run a business!

Thanks Hyacinth-I got obsessed with having a horse&carriage charm for some reason this week.I figured if I didn't like it I could resell it if it is authenticate. I did see that are a couple other similar bracelets/ keychains that sold or were listed on ebay.
