Hi authenticators! Back for some help with this one. I’m questioning myself because the leather doesn’t feel as smooshy as my other hobo of the same style and the edges feel very very stiff! Does the bag just need to be broken in to get that buttery feel?View attachment 5810567

The Paille Medium Veneta from Spring/summer 2010 (or Resort ‘09) is authentic, IMO. It’s possible the previous owner never used it - it looks like it’s in really good condition. Or, they could have conditioned it, leaving the leather stiff feeling. Regardless, you could try the ‘ol BVette trick of hanging it from a door handle with a couple of soup cans inside to help soften it up a bit. :flowers:

Hi everyone!
Would be great if you could authenticate this bag for me.
This is my first Bottega Veneta and I am a bit worried about the tag. I have not seen a tag from a BV bag yet where the serial number is printed like this. Shouldn’t it be more in the center of the tag? Could you maybe also tell me from what year the bag is?
Thank you!

The Nero Medium Veneta is authentic, IMO. That is what the tags looked like back then. This bag is from around 2004-2006ish :flowers:

Can anyone tell me if this listing is authentic, please? There is no tag and the seller told me they think the first owner may have torn it out, not knowing it is the (a) way to authenticate a bag quickly. The makeup bag inside is indeed numbered. I love this bag and have been saving and looking for one for a while.

There are many things that make me think this is not an authentic BV Cabat. Sorry :flowers:

Looks okay pending photo of BV heatstamp and clearer pics of authenticity tag.
I received the bag and took some pictures. The heatstamp is very difficult to see. Not sure whether it’s because of the texture of deerskin or it’s not authentic ….
The leather feels and smells good:smile: But the heatstamp and a little spikes on the letters (E and A of BOTTEGA) on the authentic card made me wondering. I looked at many pages in this thread and didn’t see anything like that..

Thank you!

The Cervo Loop Hobo is authentic, IMO. The stamp is hard to see on these cervo bags, but it looks just fine. I’m not sure on the colour - it looks like Edoardo. I don’t think it’s Cammello. I’m not sure, sorry :flowers:

The Medium Campana is authentic, IMO. I think the colour might be Cobalt from Resort 2008 :flowers:

Hi, thank you for the response. Could I trouble you to share some insight with me on that please? I think I need some more training/ideas. Is it because there is not a tag, or are there additional factors? Thank you again.
No authenticity tag is definitely a red flag. One doesn’t just tear it out. There would be remnants of a tag if someone tried to cut it out. Most people don’t even notice the tags - they’re actually quite small - so I can’t imagine why anyone would remove it. The Napa Paillettes Cabat was done for Resort/Cruise 2012-2013 so I’m not sure how the season represented on the pouch can be 2012-2014.

Hello Authenticaters!

Finally scooped up a Lauren from TRR and wanted to get her authenticated please! :flowers:

Item Name: The Lauren 1980 Clutch

Seller name: The Real Real

Comments: The only red flag I’m internally having is the upper right fold (how the leather pleat doesn’t fold in nicely and instead kind of sticks up) and the addition of “Limited Edition” on the interior plaque. Overall bag smells relatively leathery and not like plastic. For what it’s additionally worth, it weighs 468g on my kitchen scale when empty/without the mirror.

Needed Pictures:
1. all logos including those on hardware and pressed into leather

2. both sides of the authenticity tag

3. views of zippers and zipper pulls

It also came with all this, if that's at all helpful (there is no store name on the tag)... Thank you in advance!
