Mi amica, that's the rub. The pattern is arresting, but if it isn't authentic, I can't do it....Years ago, yup, now, no-faux. Mi dispiace .

Capisco. I would not bid unless the seller provides pictures that verify the authenticity. Someone here once told me that another bag always comes along... and I found that to be the case. Happy hunting!

The auction had ended, but reported anyway. It's removed now.
Please PM me w/ listings such as these, (in case I miss) as ebay would rather pull these counterfeits while the auction is still running.

Hopefully this section will have a "place for the fakes" thread soon, and if several of us are reporting perhaps they will be pulled faster.

Will do! And thanks for all your help!!!

Baggiana, I checked my bag, and this looks authentic to me. Seller really should have posted more photos, but it matches mine.

I forgot the retail price, but yes it was from the Resort Collection, as I purchased mine directly from Bottega Veneta.

Thanks, gro! Love the bag! And thanks for posting all the great pics of your bag... the seller should have done the same, but she wrote me that it costs her extra to post additional pictures. I wonder how she thinks someone will spend that kind of money without really "seeing" the handbag...

Yup! Your bag finds you!! Seller keeps describing the tag (last time in all caps:tdown:) but won't send pix. 1st rule of tPF: No pix=no buy. 2nd rule of tPF....
Thanks to you and Boxermom. Saves the pancetta again!:heart:

Thanks very much for your help! I would still like to try to get pics of tags to show you. Can you see enough from my pics to have an opinion on the color? I first thought maybe the black was worn off but the handles are still in good condition and if you're correct about age, it's not that old. Would you just clean it up and use as is, rather than considering dying it black? (My DH is great at restoration; I'm sure he can make the couple of scratches on the black part on the bottom disappear...not sure about the lighter color...maybe it used to be more cream...have you seen this coloration before?)

I do not know how to clean and restore, but Brennamom gave me some links for just this purpose back on page 66, post #977. I am not familiar with this particular bag, or the variations in colors. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge will weigh in.
