Here is the nero veneta I purchased. Can you let me know if this is authentic? I had received a fake Gucci before the holidays, so I'm a little weary of Bluefly. TIA

There is NO way this is a two year old bag - or the sleeper bag is not original. BV has not used the slogan printed on the bag in a LONG time - and I am not sure it was ever printed on the bags. The leather also doesn't look right to me - kind of plasticky and it looks wrinkled in a couple of places, too. I would avoid this auction.

I am amazed that people actually put these up as authentic items. Everything about the item just shouts "FAKE" and "CHEAP"!!

Here we go again... I believe that this listing is for a fake bag - a fake Sloane (small surprise!). The authenticity tag is identical (numbers and all) to the tag of the fake bag that I received, although mine was black and this one is brown (and the color number is not for ebano or nero). To me, all other pictures scream "identical to fake bag received!!!!"

What are your expert opinions?

I have reported this to ebay in two forms - as a counterfeit and as a fraud (with descriptions as to why I believe it is counterfeit) as described in tPF "Reporting Ebay Fakes Three Ways!!". -- the auction is still up, possibly because of the reputation of the seller.

I hate to see someone else go through what I went through...

Thanks!!!

ok - I am a little obsessed with this, but I just checked the sellers "ME" page. She claims to be a member of the Purse Forum (using the logo phrase (misspelled) in her mention). Don't you think that she would check the validity if she were unfamiliar with BV? - it is so easy to do here. Any suggestions? As usual, Thanks so much!!!

I believe it is authentic, I have 1 of these myself but in black, they were $190 at saks when I bought mine during the early fall but they were recently on clearance and marked way down and they sold out fast. I wanted to get one in blue but they were gone in every color but white in just a matter of hours so I wouldnt be suprised to see a lot of them popping up for resale. This one has everything mine came with so I do believe it is authentic.

The Sloane really looks fake! And isn`t it weird that she doesn`t post her screenname from around here if she`s really a member of tPF?

Thanks, C_24 for weighing in!!! I agree! I just don't know what to do... is she just mistaken in her assessment? - and would she really want to know that this Sloane is not authentic? Would it be worthwhile to send her a message, or am I just asking for trouble? Apparently my reports are not enough for eBay, and someone else will pay good money for a counterfeit... I guess that eBay wants many reports before they act, especially when the seller has good feedback, and is a powerseller. darn!

The pictures are too small to tell. I've only received one fake from BF...a Gucci Indy back in August 07. All other items have been authentic. Please post some clear close-ups of the tag inside the pocket. Also a close-up of the leather and outer zipper.

Here are some close up pics of the nero veneta. Let me know if you think this is authentic! Thanks!!

So what does anyone else think about this black medium Veneta? It looks good to me.

I don't think BF has really had any more authenticity problems since they instituted the security tag. In the past, people would keep the authentic bag and return a fake. Then the next customer to buy it, would get the fake.
