Very interesting! I suppose that means that the bag they are auctioning is not being pictured?!!! So the pictures look like what you are bidding on is authentic, you bid, and then you wind up with a fake...

The reason that I asked about the color, was that although the authenticity tag is not transparent, and looks real, the codes on all the fake Sloanes that I have seen lately have a color code of 1520, regardless of what color the bag is - black, brown, whatever... and in fact, the whole string of numbers is the same.

This forum is the best! ... if there are any doubts, there is always someone to raise the red flag! Lawbabe, I have become too wary to bid, there are so many fakes - and ways to sell a fake! I did finally buy a large black Veneta from BV online. It arrived beautifully packed, in a wonderful box with a tie, and I can sleep at night. I did not get a "deal" monetarily, but I do have piece of mind! - and I love my beautiful black Veneta! Maybe some day I will find another eBay seller that I trust who has just the BV I want... or maybe not.

Bunkie, or anyone... Do you know what color this Sloane is?

1520 is Limo, isn't it? That's the clay color from a couple seasons ago. Who knows if the pics are of the actual bag they would send if you bought it, but the pic of the authenticity tag looks a bit ragged. I know I'm really getting nit-picky, but these darn fakers have me so suspicious.

I have another color question, and I have posted it in the color thread, but thought I'd add it here. Does anyone know what color has the code 2660? The seller describes the color as chocolate, but it looks like walnut to me. Any ideas? Thanks!

Baggiana, look at the below link too-another seller from Germany-very same photo. We actually saw this same photo posted by a UK seller before-had a discussion about this in this thread. I feel so sorry for the buyers of these bags:confused1:
