I don't have a woven Veneta but none of my bags came with a red card like yours did. What's on that card? But if this bag is a few years old, it's quite possible they were using different card stock then.

The leather is the most important thing. BV leather is super soft and the weaving is just really nice and smooth. My bags were all new, so they had a very rich leather smell; that may not be as evident with a used bag. What's your opinion of the leather quality?

Mistikat, the red thing next to the cards, is the mirror :smile1:

The leather is indeed so soft and supple and still has that nice leather smell :yes:
I also thought, if it is fake, then it will probably smell vinyl or something else..

I told my bf who does not care about any of my bags, that the bag any chance is fake..he said, can't be because the woven is so nicely done and the leather overall is so soft, not to mention the so so soft lining (not sure whether this is suede)..

*am quite worried now..

Funny about the mirror (but I don't think counterfeiters would bother including one). I think the weaving looks ok. The fakes that I've seen have pretty bad leather and the weaving is not great either. I think the bag looks ok, but it would be useful to hear from someone who has a Veneta from a couple of seasons ago.

I really don't think it is fake aki_sato. It doesn't send off any alarm bells for me. My recent fiasco-bag was SOOOOOOO obvious that it was fake - the leather felt oily, the weaving and stitching looked really bad, and it smelled really strange - no wonderful leather smell. I just don't see that with your Veneta - it is just slightly older so the lining is different than current bags. I just think you would KNOW if it was a fake.

Don't worry....your Veneta looks absolutely authentic to me, and I have a wardrobe full of them. The vast majority have the interior pocket lining in that light beige colour, except for the carminio which is in a colour similar to the suede lining. I have never seen a fake BV with your pale blue lining. As I mentioned before, I have a ball ball that seems to be the same colour with the same pale blue lining. I also have an aquiline noce bag that I believe must be from the same season as it too has the pale blue suede lining, and its interior pocket is the same colour as your veneta. The colour is papavero, its a red/orange (sorry I am really bad at describing things!). Enjoy your BV. Its a beauty:tup:

I did think the bag is too good to be a fake, however still had doubt before I checked it out with you guys the expert..

hi bagaholicboy, the wallet is definitely fake - font on the box is totally wrong, leather is too shiny, authenticity card is the wrong one and the weave is not right as well.

as for the 2 tote bags, have never seen the design before but i don't have a good feeling about them either.

The red one is from S/S 2006, so it`s definitely a model that exists!

The green is a Sardegna tote in Army from S/S 2007, I think uclaboi has one of them.

No red flags to me for the two totes

thank you all for your comments. yup i thot the wallet is fishy too, but C_24, the Sardegna tote is listed as quite cheap and also seller sold 1 before, and has 2 on sale now. any red flags about that? thanks again!

^I remember them being on sale for a steal, 250 Euro or so, so he might have gotten them in a bundle from a retailer other than BV?

Best thing would be to ask for more and clearer pictures, esp. the Authentication tag
