aki_sato, enjoy the bag. It is a beautiful colour and you got it for a good price. Now you need to post some modelling pix!

Thank you Mistikat! :smooch:

Now I have no reservation or feeling conscious anymore taking this baby out

Modelling pics will follow if Sydney weather agrees with me this weekend ;)

I have four sloanes, and none of them have interior pocket linings in that fabric. And lawbabe is right, those same pics keep popping up. I have to say that the majority of Sloanes on ebay are fake. The authenticity tag is also a different fabric to the ones in my bags.

Hi nizlay! I found this post particularly interesting, as I have an Old Petra Sloane which looks exactly like the one posted. Now I am wondering whether my OP Sloane (purchased from Bluefly) is fake. I have seen so many Sloanes IRL I thought I would know if mine was a fake, but it looks exactly like the one lawbabe posted. The pocket lining of my OP Sloane is in some canvas/cotton like material (definitely not suede). The back of the zipper is riri M4 too (as in the picture of the fake). However, the dead giveaway to me that the bag might be a fake is the authenticity code - OP should be 2530. The picture has the color code for Noce I think......

I think someone said the people who sell fakes on eBay mix in pictures of actual, real BVs with pictures of the fake bag they're selling.

Hi Minda. Your Sloane and all other authentic Sloanes should have the interior pocket lined with the same fabric you described. The fake ones seem to be lined with some other type of fabric. All my BVs have interior pocket linings of the same type of fabric.

^The yellow one is a vintage piece. Looks okay to me, though I`ve never seen this green dustbag! It has the really old font on it (15 years +), so I can`t really give you any advice on that one. But I don`t think they used to counterfeit BV back in those days.

Second one has too few pics to tell, but the overall look seems a little too shiny to me and those edges shouldn`t slightly bend in like they do...

Re the yellow cosmetics bag, I thought vintage too, but the seller is saying it's new. The metal plate was used years ago, so if you're interested, I would ask the seller how old the bag is. It may have been lightly used or unused, but it's definitely not new BV.

Hello there - is this small green bag authentic? If it is, I want to get it. Please don't bid on it, please. Does anyone know when this came out (2006?) and what the original retail price was? TIA

I've seen that one keep coming back on eBay quite a few times since my BV obsession began so hopefully you can get it for a good deal. I do recall seeing that colour from a few seasons ago and also that style (maybe on other threads here - I'm thinking one shot someone posted shots of the stock at one of the US outlets and it included a number of bags in this colour, including this one?) so hopefully someone here can tell for sure if it is authentic and what it originally went for.

I'm off to do me a search... I'm pretty sure now it was in a picture from the outlets...

Yessss! I rock! Here is the picture I was thinking of and sure enough there is your bag in the lower left corner, jburgh.

I remember these pictures because they REALLY made me want to go to a BV outlet (and I still do)!!!
