Ladies, i reported this clutch to ebay after seeing the exact same picture and similar spelling errors on ioffer. however, it appears the seller has relisted so i wanted to let anyone looking know. maybe if others report it too then ebay will take the listing off.

A fellow TPFer advised me that the white Veneta has been copied from ioffer. Also, this has been posted by another seller (unless she uses 2 IDs) but didn't sell. Please take a look : same description, same photos except the additional photo of the bag on the chair.

There is a "Bottega Veneta Made in Italy" imprinted on leather above interior snap pocket .. other than that .. no metal plaque, no fabric tag.
Zipper slides say "Riri M6" underneath (or M8, not sure). Bought last year on eBay, before I knew about tPF! .. from big Florida seller. Lining is heavy suede, leather is soft and glorious brown color. It has heavy use .. but the question is .. is it real Bottega Veneta?
Thanks for your help.

An authentic BV new enough to have the tan suede lining won't have the metal nameplate. But it should have the white authenticity tag inside somewhere. did you look inside all pockets? The zipper is correct. If there's not white tag or evidence of ever having it, I'd be very suspicious.

Do you know how old the bag is? Is it possible to get a clearer photo of the font?

Ah-hah - wasn't digging deep enough, here's the tag! .. sorry old camera has no close-up, the number is 133508 V0056 2072 -- does that tell year made?
And I put baby powder on the imprint, that helps.
Thank you again, Boxer -- really appreciate it!

Haha, sometimes they are hard to find. I believe it's authentic. It's not one of the newest bags, but at least a few years old, I'd guess. Outside looks nice.

Seller calls it "Coker":wtf:. It looks good, but to be sure, try to get seller to provide clear photos of the font and the other side of the authenticity tag. I doubt if there have been many Poudre fakes--it would be a hard color to copy.

The confusion around the chain Veneta is enough to keep me away. The photos look good, but anything connected with ioffer is shady to me. Who knows what bag would be sent to you?

I imagine the Cocker will turn out to be authentic.

Please ask the seller for pics of the things that indicate that this bag is BV. With that, I may be able to do something, since I have a different reporting tool. There is never any guarantee, but with that info, I will try. It definitely looks suspicious - and unlike anything I have ever seen for BV, but I must be able to add info for my judgement to eBay.

As boxermom says, you need clear, close-up pics of the imprinted name/logo and authenticity tag (front and back) for the cocker.

With regard to the white chain Veneta: the non-stock photos make the bag look good, off-hand, but as you say, they are identical to those of the earlier seller. It is easy enough to steal other sellers photos, but the first seller must make the report, before any action is taken. You could write the first seller, and let them know that you see a listing that their photos in it. Truth is, you do not know whose photos these really are. Still it is worth a try, if you are interested... back to the new seller: In addition, the is seller has not sold anything, and has too few fb to be trusted considering the copied photos. I'd stay away from the white one... This is a situation where you can not do much more than you have done by alerting us here.

Clearly, his English (American) is not good, but then my "almost any other language" is abominable! His sin is not language...

doloresmia, do not bother with asking for the additional information from the seller. I just sent a report using my special tool, since the iOffer clearly states that this is a replica bag. I do not know what to expect (probably not much) since the seller is from the UK, and eBay.UK generally ignores even enhanced reporting. It is against US law to mail a counterfeit, so it is very interesting to read the caveat listed under terms of sale for iOffer: "Also due to the particular nature of replica business,we garantee export from China but we do not garantee 100% safety from customs in destination country, we compensate when parcel is missing during shipping but will not resend for free if it's seized by customs."

I have the same situation for a bag from Australia. We've done our best, and eBay should pick up the slack. In the meantime, thank you for alerting us!!!
