Re-reading the very first post in this thread as to what we need to authenticate, I see the list is:

Needed Pictures: Please make sure the item in question has clear close-ups of
1. all logos including those on hardware and pressed into leather
2. both sides of the authenticity tag
3. views of zippers and zipper pulls
4. views of the lining
5. outside views of all sides and bottom
6. views of hardware
7. mirror, both sides if applicable

Hello all,

I am new to this forum and would kindly ask you to authenticate this large Veneta in Ebano that I purchased on eBay.
Everything on this bag seems right, the zippers, the lining, the color, authenticity tag, but something bothers me about the "shreddy weave" and wrinkling of the leather on some parts of the bag.

Here is the link to the listing with pictures there and then, there are my pictures of the "trouble" spots on the bag.

This is authentic; I have bought from this seller in the past. The wrinkling and 'shreds' are normal with handcrafted leather bags; the 'leather dust' will disappear with time. I believe this seller buys multiples, so she didn't relist "your" bag, per se.

Comments: Does it look like this Old Pyramid strap has been modified to be a short strap only? I'm still searching on how the short and long strap positions on the Pyramid bag looks like. Thanks!

Thank you so much. I was so worried because I was at the BV store just the other day and handled quite a few Veneta's and none had that kind of creasing on closer inspection.
I didn't know that's what it was called, "leather dust". Does it mean it will smooth out with wear?
