It is an authenticator’s right to ignore a request that is not in the proper format. If the listing you are interested in is missing photos it is your responsibility to request them from the seller prior to posting in this thread.

Just a note to everyone - seller says (and has proof) that she bought this from TRR, I’m so disappointed I guess this is yet another reminder to exercise extra caution when buying preloved, even from trusted resellers - ask for as much detailed photos as you can because I definitely didn’t

I would argue back with her that she bought a fake from TRR, and that their website often has fakes. Can you go through your PP or credit card? You may have to get a paid for authentication. If you go that route PM me first and I'll give you the details that say it's a fake.

Hi guys, I just purchased a pair of Balenciaga Hardcroc shoes from a very trusted designer resale website and having owned a pair previously which are no longer in my possession, I’m absolutely convinced they are fake. Am I allowed to post pictures in this thread to see if anyone is able to authenticate or give me a better insight as to what to look for with fakes? TIA

This is the first time I've seen these but have done a little digging. The reputable places I've seen them (The Bal website, major dept stores) show a matte finish to the hardware. So far the only shiny ones I've found have been replicas (see link). Do you know if there were legit ones done in a shiny finish?

Thank you for your response. After spending hours digging also, I’ve not seen any authentic pairs without the matte finish so they are definitely fake. I’ve actually found another website selling this exact pair. Also the branding logo is off centre if you look at the button which connects the strap. It’s such a shame I really thought TRR were reputable considering they have such a vigorous authentication process using AI. Spent quite a lot of money shipping (and now returning) plus import fees also, I hope TRR will refund at least some of those fees.

I was going to post this in the "Identify this thread" but I don't even know about authenticity and the photo of the tag posted is garbage. I'm mainly curious if this bag indeed was made, and what is this color? I'm not a fan of the style at all, but the color has me swooning. Any thoughts?

TRR is known for allowing fakes to slip through, and is generally a site fraught with issues. That said, I shop there a lot, you can get some good bargains if you know what to look for.

Be prepared with all of your data on fakes. They generally don't refund shipping etc., although I don't know if that's the case with a counterfeit item, I'd push hard. My guess is they'll offer you some store credit. Good luck!
