If that came up in the AT thread I would ask to see all rivets and combine it with all other aspects of the bag. Sometimes it’s just an anomaly.

In December of '07, I bought three GH Works from the Bal store in NY in the same day (b-day gift). Two of them had one wonky rivet, and not even wonky in the same way, and one also had a wonky GH. Some manufacturing anomalies, especially of mass-produced industry items like small metal or plastic parts, are to be expected. They're caused by factory hiccups and human error.

Like check this out. I have zero doubt about the authenticity of this large shoulder. It checks out in every detail, including ones so subtle that a faker would not even be aware of it, for a bag this old. But look at the metal plate. I'm one of those wierdoes who actually likes anomalies like this. Makes it more "collectable" to me. The incomplete metal plate is apparently a common feature of the large shoulder, thought it’s an anomaly next to other Bal bags View attachment 5751987

Thank you both, Balenciaga bags are so intricate and have been around for so many years and in so many shapes and sizes that it's quite difficult (for me, that is) to tell if a particular bag is real or not, unless it's a very amateur replica. So very few little things that stand out to me.

Authentic in my opinion, but you may want to google the colour (S/S 2012 bleu indigo) and see it in different lightings. The lighting is quite warm in this listing and skews the colour a bit IMO.
