I have 5 mcqueen scarves, all brought from Selfridges stores, and a pashmina brought from Alexander McQueen in Bicester, And I'm looking to buy a new one since a friend of mine got the white fishy pashmina from a local charity shop for £10 (no I haven't missed the 0 off, She paid a tenna)

I'm looking on ebay and I'm overwhelmed at what I'm looking for, I don't want to buy one and have to compare it with my originals to test it out. So I guess what I am asking you lovely ladies what am I looking for in these pictures? Anything that will help me avoid a fake, Do they fake such prints as the fishy and aztec skulls?

And what on earth are these anchor prints I keep seeing?

I've noticed sellers with ten or more fishy prints, and repeated offerings of the fishy scarves, so it seems as though those are being knocked off as well these days.

And, I always wonder the same thing about the anchor prints! I have no idea about those!

I wouldn't buy one of these scarves because I've read here that many of the fakes are sold from Australia (and Canada), but primarily because the logo type on the scarf itself doesn't align precisely. I own several skull scarves that were bought from McQueen boutiques or high end retailers, and they always align (left side of "A" in "Alexander" above left side of "M" in "McQueen" below it, and right edge of "R" in Alexander" with the right edge of the "u" in "McQueen" below) as illustrated in the post I made earlier. Hope this helps.

1st: if a scarf is remotely real, they would be posting pictures of the tags.
2nd: see my earlier post about how the tags are attached (specifically how many stitches are in each - pics are included)

I'm tired of all the fakes. So, now, when you guys post an obvious fake. I'm letting you know & reporting the item on eBay too! I hope they don't share with the seller what are the tip offs, because then they'll get good & we may not EVER be able to tell the real from the fakes :(
