The mini Paris is a wonderful bag. When extended it even it’s an iPad mini. My only wish is that it didn’t have the middle strap. Let me know your thoughts when you receive yours. I own the English lavender. Love the pebbled leather. Hoping for a holly bag in cherry blossom pink.
Do you know if that middle strap has any functional purpose? It's not clear to me from the photos, but I can definitely see how it could be cumbersome.
Not that I can find a use for. Even when my mini Paris bag is extended the center strap is loose. There isn’t really a way to take it out either.
ehh maybe I'll just cut it out then. I think there's 0 chance of resale for me and I'd rather just enjoy the bag as best I can. I'll decide when I get it.

Hi Everyone, I am truly obsessed with Aspinal and own 7 bags currently. I have moved away from Mulberry and even LV and sold a lot of bags to fund my Aspinal addiction. I am surprised that this forum does not yet have a main section for Aspinal of London. I am hoping to buy the large Lottie in the quilted black leather for my birthday. The only issue is that I am a petite 5"3 and am concerned it might swamp me. I would love to hear your thoughts on whether you think I should go with the small one instead.
That is super cute. I’m tempted… I also have been planning on getting another Valextra in pink tho so again it would be similar. I’m seeing that they now have the hat box in the pink with deep shine instead of patent so that might be the answer…
Well first of all, please share pictures of your collection!! I am now the proud owner of three aspinal bags and I'm just so impressed with them.
The large lottie does have a larger "look" to it but I think especially if you use the double chain strap it will be totally fine aesthetically. It's still more modest than a lot of the honkin' totes women carry these days.
Yes I agree, the quality is amazing. I also love their classic and structured designs. As you can see from the photo, I love black, burgundy and green. I have the following bags in my collection:

Yes! I prefer the trapeze shape but the option to carry more stuff is nice. And it's SO pink haha. My photos don't capture the vibrancy of it.
I’m such a mess with the Aspinal bags and I don’t know why. I cannot figure out what I want. First it was the mint green in the hat box and then I felt silly getting a second mint green bag. Then I wanted the soft taupe but they don’t make it in the mini Mayfair or the hatbox. And in truth I don’t love the patent finish anyway.
Now they have produced the pink in the deep shine, both in the mini Mayfair and the Hat Box. It’s like they are listening to my complaints and trying to overcome them lol.
And yet I’m still torn. Pink is a color I have a LOT of. I don’t mind that and in fact there’s 2 more pink bags I want: Polene Huit and Valextra Iside. But then it makes the Aspinal in pink harder to justify.
Here’s my collection of bags that are similar, and the Aspinal pink in the front as a cosmetic pouch. With this, would you go for the mini Mayfair in the pink, or the Hat Box? Or neither?
The three in the back are basically nude pink, and very different from the ones in front.
The Mansur Gavriel and the Aspinal pinks look pretty similar in these photos, but in person I find them pretty different. The Mansur Gavriel is more of a bubblegum pink whereas the Aspinal is a muted cherry blossom pink.
This mod shot of the MG might help clarify that it’s overall more jewel toned.
