Hi TE, I'm curious about the bag that Neiman Marcus (and Berdorff's) are selling as the Tano "Visionaire" in what they call dark blue. I can't find this bag on any other website to compare stats, can't find any pics of it here to see what it looks like in a real life photo, and don't know the real colour name to compare that at another website. The reason I'd like to be able to do all of these things is that I just bought my 1st 2 Tano bags from Neiman's and found their colour pics to be somewhat misleading (colour Smog is much darker in person) and size stats a bit off also. Do you know anything about the Visionaire? It's not on Tano's own website nor musthavebag. I've only found it on the 2 stores mentioned above. Any info to help me make a decision would be most welcome. Txs, Deb
ETA: I'm also curious about the colour Blossom. There's a B.B. at Neiman's in this colour and I haven't seen it anywhere else either (save for a tiny square on Tano's site). It almost looks a bit too bubble-gummy in the Neiman's pics, but as I've learned from Smog, they can be deceiving. I'd like it better if it *were* darker, as the Smog is??? Thoughts?

Hi dede

Here is a link to this bag on Tano's website:

Its a cut to order bag, probably most (if not all) were made for the NMG (neiman marcus group, ie neimans, bergdorf & cusp)

Its made of chopper leather which is fantastically light, shiny and crinkled. The blue color looks pretty accurate. I don't now the dimensions or anything else about it- sorry!

The blossom color is a dark pink, not really bubble gummy. Last seasons pink lemonade was much brighter. Blossom is a sort of fuchsia that you can wear year round.

Hi TE...I just received a caramel postcard from london from MHB and there is quite a bit of distressing in the leather. In particular, there are some darker lines on the front of the bag and some heavy distressing on the bottom. I will try to post pics later, but wanted to check if you think that sounds normal? Thanks!

Yes, that sounds pretty normal for the caramel (which seems to be more irregular & distressed than the other colors this season.)

Whether or not you like the overall look of the bag/leather/color is entirely up to you, though.

^^Thanks...I love the bag actually but just wanted to check since I don't have any other bags in lux leather to compare it to. It doesn't look very distressed in the pics on MHB, so I just wanted to make sure that it is normal.

How is the garnet leather? I only have it in the chicklit. Is it less distressed?

The caramel is the lightest color in the fall LUX and therefore you can see more of the irregular markings than you do in the darker colors, like garnet.

All tano bags look somewhat different- the particular one photographed may have been more even toned than others.

TE, here are the pics...please let me know what you think:

Yeah, there is lot of veining (as shown in your pics) in the caramel. Its completely natural, and is more prevalent on certain parts of the hide. The tanning process of the Lux leather often makes scars and veins appear lighter/ darker than the rest of the surface.

Its really up to you, though. If you love the bag the way she is, keep her. If not, send her back!
