Hello TE! Can you tell me what the name of this bag is? It seems to be style #4539. I got a darker brown one today at TJ Maxx for $119! The also had another that looks a bit like a Boogie Bucket, but it zips on top and has two horizontal zipper pockets on the front -- I haven't found a picture of that one yet, but if it sounds familiar, could you tell me what style it is, too? Thanks!

Here is a link to it in Tano's archive.

Its from last Fall, actually (2009.)

Pishee, your color is probably "dark chocolate."
$119 is a great price for a nice leather bag.
But in all honesty, considering that this bag is a discontinued style that is a year old, I don't find the price to be surprising.

Thanks, everyone. After I had posted my question, but before I got your answers, I located the bag on TANO's website too. I put all my things in it last night and it is going to be great, especially with those front pockets. TE, isn't the "Sahara" in the title on Lorie's shoes website the color rather than a title?

Brenalsea, I was SO surprised to see the two TANOs at my TJ Maxx -- they NEVER have TANO. But wow, what a nice surprise! I may go back today and get the other one, as well. It is large, maybe a bit larger than the Boogie Bucket, zip closure, and two horizontal zip pockets across the front, dark brown (maybe espresso?). I can't find a picture -- any ideas what it might be? (You, or TE??) I'm tempted to go grab it for $99, but I have a dark brown Boogie Bucket and feel a little wasteful getting this one, too. I also have a Pool Boogie Bucket on it's way to me, previously owned. Can't wait to get it, as I LOVE turquoise/teal colors.

Anyway, let me know everyone if you have any guesses what the other large bucket bag, with a zip closure and two zip pockets on front (flush with the bag) might be! Thanks as always!

Oh, thank you, Joan! I guess with the brown one I saw at TJ Maxx, you can't see the brown trim around the zippers, so it's harder to see the similarity at first.

Anyone -- is/was the Electrorocker a popular style? I'm relatively new to TANO, although I do have five of them now! I'm trying to decide if I *NEED* the Electrorocker if I already have a dark brown Boogie Bucket.

Thanks, all!

Pishee, sahara is the color, yes, and Electrorocker was a fairly popular bag.

Gentle reminder:

At the risk of posting in the wrong place (and please tell me if I have), I'm looking for some help with Boogie Bucket styles. I received a pre-owned "pool" colored Boogie Bucket bag in the mail today. It is different inside than my dark brown Boogie Bucket. This Pool one has a larger "TANO" label inside (maybe 1 1/2 to 2 inches in width), on a pocket that kind of hangs on the side rather than being "part of" the side, and only one slip pocket, in the pool blue leather, that also hangs on the side. The opening for the slip pocket is kind of curved as well -- it's almost more of a pocket than the slip pockets on my other Boogie Bucket.

Are some of these bags different inside, or should I be concerned about authenticity? Thanks.

Hi Pishee

No worries, thats the old "graffiti" label and the pocket was a temporary modification.

Ive heard that fake Tanos ARE out there now but Im pretty sure that yours is just an older model. (Pool was a color from Spring of 2008.)

Hi TE

Just wondering if anyone of the Tano bags have striped lining?? I saw a Tano bag
today and it had striped lining (I think pink, white, and a few other colors), and wasn't
sure if it was a real Tano. However, there was the normal Tano tags and also the Tano label looked authentic. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
