I answered Flashbulb Flurry the same time as TE :)

I had a Bottled Blonde (same as the Carte Blanche but in Crunch) but I didn't care for the style b/c the style just didn't suit me. I don't like bags that are divided into 3 compartments and I didn't like the style. Just my opinion though :)

don't want to intrude on TE's thread :) But I have a Carte Blanche in onyx (black) velvet leather (which isn't shiny). It has three separate zipped compartments, and is one of the smaller Tano bags. I don't use it much, but think it's nice for a night out or to take on an interview and such. You can dress it up or dress it down.

Carte Blanche was made of "velvet" leather, but it was made in a number of different leathers many seasons prior to that, and it was always a very popular style. Its a smaller bag on the Tano spectrum, and its very organized with a multitude of compartments. Some people like bigger, simpler bags with one main compartment and maybe an outside pocket or two. But what matters is if YOU like the bag and if it works for you!

Thanks for all the answers re: Carte Blanche. I pondered it too often, though, and missed out on the $55 deal! :girlsigh: Oh well... at least I have the info for next time.

I have another question: what is the best leather conditioner and protector to put on my Little Red Chevette? It keeps looking a bit "dry" to me, "ashy," I guess, if you can apply that term to a bag! And I think it's also gotten a couple of tiny liquid spots on it in the time I've had it, because I haven't really protected the leather with anything much. I've used an "over the counter" lotion of some kind which seemed to do basically NOTHING (probably lucky for me that it didn't damage the bag). I also used a little bit of some apple care leather lotion I had on hand, but the bag seems to dry back out pretty quickly after looking more moisturized for a day or so. Thanks!

To my recollection orange peel was the brightest of the three, but without lining up the 3 color next to each other, it would be had to describe the nuances between them.

"burnt orange" would best describe flame, IMO.

I would say try giving a good rubdown with a leather moisturizer/conditioner such as lexol, apple, etc after you do a test to make sure its safe. Sometimes you really need to drench a bag, let it dry and reapply before the job is done. And then repeat seasoally, or as often is needed, depending upon how often you use the bag, the climate, etc.

I have been searching and searching for a picture of She's a Rainbow in Blue Eyes other than a stock photo. I have seen a few online, but the photos of the color are from light blue to deep navy. I own the black model and have fallen in love with this style. I have been lusting for a blue Rainbow, but not sure about the shade of blue.

Hi TE,

Can you tell me more about the Tano "She's Come Undone"?
-type of leather?
-is it a large or medium sized bag? (I'm looking for a simple, large tano bag in dark brown or black, and preferably w/ bag and straps in the same color)
and anything else helpful you may remember about the bag...
Thanks so much!
