Coming back to update this thread for future reference. I recently went to a David Yurman Outlet, and lots of their stuff are now being made in Thailand. Especially the silver collections. The majority of the fine jewelry pieces are still made in USA and Italy. Some items are made in China. The cable collection with silver and 14k gold are made in China when I asked a SA in store. Majority of the 18k gold pieces are all over: Italy, USA.
I noticed the same with pieces though I don’t wear them anymore. I feel they misrepresented these as being 18k, when they are in fact 18k PLATED.Hi i have had my yurman bracelets for several years. I feel like the gold is sort-of fading. Has anyone else had this happen? Thanks

Definetly polish it and should come back mine dkd100%. My two toned bRacelet doesn’t even look like it has gold on it anymore. Looks far more contrasting in photo than IRL

I wouldn't either, and it seems so pretty, too!I was thinking of buying this bracelet:

I am now thinking I won't after looking at pre-owned for sale on ebay. I do that not so I can buy it through there at a discount, but I like to see how they wear over time. On every single listing the "18k" heart looks tarnished which makes me think it's plated and not solid. The official description says "Sterling silver with 18-karat yellow gold." So is that a sneaky way of saying plated or similar as opposed to a solid gold heart? Solid gold never tarnishes.
I tried to find the country of origin on their website and couldn't find one, but where it's listed on Bloomingdale's or Saks, can't remember the exact one, it says "imported."
I'm really disappointed because I was loving the bracelet otherwise!
Came back to add that they have an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau.
Actually solid gold never tarnishes and a polishing cloth wouldn't help gold plating. I was referring to the wearing away of the gold if it is not solid but a gold layer over silver. The description on the website does not specify if the gold heart is solid. The fact that pieces that have been worn over time show fading of the gold leads me to believe it's a form of plating. I don't plan to shower with mine so I am hoping it lasts.Gold does tarnish. You just need to clean it with a polishing cloth
