Oh, the Speedy drama is the story of my life!
I've had a love/hate relationship with Speedy for a while.
It was my all time favorite, my dream bag since I was a teenage girl.
I purchased my very first around 2012, a Damier Azur 30 - ended up hating the pattern and sold it soon after.
I purchased the second one in 2016, a Monogram 35 - ended up hating the size and sold it after I noticed that even my mom doesn't grab it anymore.
I was very very disappointed and pretty much decided to just appreciate it on other people and thought that it was one of those styles that takes your breath away but doesn't work for you.
...
For the past 2/3 months, I have noticed that I could not stop thinking about it and finally decided to have one added to my collection once again, even-though it might never be used.
I am now a proud owner of a Damier Ebene 30, and let me tell you that with the right print and right size, it has made its way back to my heart and I have not stopped using it ever since.

The Speedy was my dream bag as a teenager also. Several years ago I purchased one preloved. When it arrived I realized that I did not like the way the bag opened and sent it back. I ended up going with a Retiro PM.

I would say give it another try.
The structure/silhouette is the same, but the function is very different from one size to another. I would go as far to say that even two different patterns in the sam size can look very very different.
I managed to find the combination that works for my lifestyle and I am so so so glad that I did not give up the dream.

Do you want the DA speedy to complete your canvas speedy collection, or do you genuinely like the style and the DA print for it? If you are getting it for the sake of completing the collection, don't. I have bought so-so things for the sake of completion and ended up regretting my decision. The excitement of "complete" wears off pretty quickly. If you really do like the print and bag, then get it. Speedy is a classic. Not my cup of tea, but even I can't deny that's it's always in style and desired.

You mentioned in a reply that the neonoe looks appealing to you. I own two neonoes, and while I love the style, there are some cons to the bag. It's an open bag, so if it rains, RUN. Your belongings will get wet. If you don't use a bag organizer, things will work their way underneath the zip pocket. It can be annoying to shuffle through your bag because things moved around. When stuffed, neonoe can get heavy and hurt the shoulders. It doesn't bother me, but some people don't like that you have to slide that thing (I forget what you call it) up and down to open and close the bag. Neonoe is also bulky. It can easily knock into someone or something. Other than being a functional bag, pros for me are that it's adjustable, holds a lot, and I like the silhouette.

Despite my cons, I would still recommend the bag. I tend to give more cons simply because I think most people think positively towards a purchase. I think it's also easier to come up with pros when you don't own something, and harder to think of the downside unless you already own that specific item.

Speedy's are not my style personally, but I do agree that it is a classic bag (and iconic design because of it's association with Audrey Hepburn) that is available in different sizes and shoulder or hand carry options. It's funny though, I never see anyone wear Speedy's where I live?
