Are Speedies still worth buying?

you can. My mom uses a coach leather strap on her speedy 30. I don't realy recommend it because i would worry about ripping the handles though. It really should be a speedy b because the straps are reinforced.

You can buy any strap. Years ago before we had b version many people would add straps. But between the cost of a speedy and a strap, I’d suggest just getting the b version. I luv it.

The Speedy 30 is not my favorite bag, but it´s definitely my most used one. It´s just extremely versatile and an all-rounder.
Especially now in autumn/ winter it´s perfect where I live .

So true - Years ago we did have to add a strap and the bags held up just fine.

Yes you can buy them on the LV site. I’ve done this for my classic Speedy Azur and Speedy Ebene. In 3 years, I’ve never seen any damage from using them. I like the fact that there are plenty of holes in the straps so length is never a problem, they are narrower than the ones that come with the B and very well made.
