Are boutique display models sold at discount?

My SA told me that sometimes people prefer the displays since the patina process has already started; and if someone really wants it they will sell it. Once I saw a bag on the highest shelf that was a lovely light honey color!

no no no... my friend bought s-lock bracelet which had been on display for ages that the vachetta patina already and she had to pay full price for it

I have purchased the display before (when I got my cherry pouchette). No biggie it had virtually NO patina.

yes, the displays are destroyed by lethal injection from what I hear.

yup and if the items are damaged they're marked w/ a silver line through the datecode that means damaged. only certain SAs can purchase those.

I deliberately asked for the display piece on my Damier Speedy - it didn't have any patina so I was worried about marking, but it also had no pesky creases anywhere on it so I was able to use it right away without waiting weeks for the creases to go away.

My indigo vernis was a display, one of the last ones in the company but I am very happy with it and yes, there was patina.
