okay so i've searched this thread and the general consensus is that it is OKAY to spray apple guard on suede. my question is, will this "set" any previous existing stains on the bag?
does it really repel water really good?

Hi,

Based on the precious feedback, does it mean I can apply apple conditioner to my Gunmetal Zoe since its leather color is metallic?

PleAse advise. Thank you!

I'm getting ready to rain/stain guard my Floral Graffiti Groovy.. and I was just wondering if the crackle leather on it (trim, etc) would be okay, or if I should mask it off?

I sprayed it. I taped off all of the metal though (sans zipper itself, anyway). After I noticed the leather pieces were still a bit 'slimy' from the spray, so I just wiped them off with a paper towel. She's still fine today, so yay!

The canister says leather on it, so....

Hey! Sorry I didn't see or respond to this post earlier... I've definitely apple garded most of my Coach purses (the non-patent leather varieties, anyway) and have yet to experience any bad side effects with the rain garde. I've sprayed my gunmetal crackle-leather maggie, black metallic claire, and textured leather audrey, all with no bad side-effects. I've ALSO sprayed my pink exotic embossed madison carry-all-- it took a while to dry, longer than the other bags, but once it was dry, it looked exactly the same. All are still looking good!

Just FYI, sometimes it takes a while for a good dose of garde to set. I generally let a bag sit overnight, or at least for 30 minutes if I'm waiting to spray the other side of the bag. The embossed exotic madison leather, I had to wait about 10 hours for it to dry (but turned out great). The crackle leather took around 1-2 hours.

I've never experienced any bad side-effects of accidentally spraying the metal-- just wipe it off, and it's fine.

The only bad thing that's ever happened to one of my bags as a result of apple was actually with the conditioner. Do NOT use the apple conditioner on regular white Madison leather... it turned the edges of my gray/white leather Spectator shoulder bag a HIDEOUS flourescent yellow. Just so you know!

I appled mine in bone/silver with no issues! I didn't spray it, just conditioner. I sometimes feel that the FP bags that end up in the outlet seem to feel "dry." I'd spray mine BUT HAVEN'T so wait for someone else to weigh in, but IMO condition away!!!

I bought a croc madison medium wallet off of someone and they Appled it. I don't smell the leather anymore, but it doesn't look like apple did any damage at all.

I think I am only going to spray my new croc carryall
