Anyone's STUDS fallen off before?

ugh for some reason, the rivets won't hold still. I don't even know if i'm doing it right -- i'm supposed to turn the stud clockwise, right?

My hardware is not cooperating.

By right it's supposed to be clockwise direction. BUT, you will never know, since it doesn't work, could it be the other direction?

Logically, that supposed to be the way. But when i dismantle my fan for cleaning, some of the parts are tighten in anti clockwise instead!
