Anyone Tired of Twillies and Not Afraid to Say It?

I think that’s the general idea... if you really want to entertain yourself-visit the Hermès thread - where hostilities break out wether to twilly or not to twilly on a regular basis. I think there may be an armistice at the moment, but:hrmm: who knows.

Maybe that’s where the idea for this thread came from? The OP mentioned an uptick in twilly use here on the Coach thread but I haven’t noticed it. Maybe because I’ve always used scarves.

We should organize a capture the twilly game (Similar to capture the flag) and winners get to make the opposing team either use or don’t use twillies for a month haha

We? I am sure the hundreds if not thousand other viewers/posters of this forum know what a twilly is, not just OP. After all, I'm sure there are Hermes fans here. Or at least those who are already familiar with the term.

There were several people who responded who said they didn't know what it was and/or had to look it up. I don't think they meant the forum at large.

I'm buried in school work so that will be a much needed break! Let the chaos ensue!

I like twillys but not really on handbag, while I like the application of key chains on certain bags. It really does boil down to what kind of bag. If we're talking about a Chanel classic caviar flap, no. If we're talking about a vintage coach, yes.
I'm ok with someone liking or not liking them. It's drama over if someone does or doesn't that I think is the height of ridiculous. Do people actually do that?

ETA - considering this thread I guess some do.

Hmm. I’ve never seen a twilly/bandeau and thought it was pretentious. I personally prefer to wear them as a bracelet as I don’t think it suits any of my current handbags. I’m not tired of them tho. I enjoy seeing them on other people’s handbags.
I love this look! What's the hoop you are using to tie it into a bracelet? Thanks.

I don't have any twillies and wouldn't use them, except as a bracelet. This twilly is stunning worn this way! What one is it?

I think it's a reflection of privilege. To be so upset over someone's opinion over a pretty little scarf... I think it's odd, even for bag lovers. When I use TPF I prefer to have an enjoyable experience versus fighting everyone over a mere difference in opinions... on purses.

'To twilly or not to twilly, that is the question!'
People really need to live and let live. Some have twillies, charms, scarves on their bags, others don't. If you don't like those things, don't use them, and you are entitled to your opinion. But for someone to be upset and critical of another PERSON who does use them is ridiculous.

And honestly, if opposing opinions on twillies has you that upset, you should probably reevaluate the priorities in your life. “All in good fun!”
Likewise, if other peoples' use of twillies have you that upset, you should probably reevaluate the priorities in your life.

But seriously, this thread is making me laugh and I'm thinking OP is trolling? If one sees a scarf/twilly as pretentious, perhaps it's time for some self-reflection on their own insecurities? I'm not even sure "twilly use" is even the epidemic as OP makes it seem, as I usually only see them on runway photos and posed photos here in the forum... and while I personally I don't use them on my bags, if I saw one "in the wild" I would barely notice!
