What the heck?

That claims to be the necklace version of the feather fob, msrp: $225 (despite the auction saying $158).
My first instinct was "fake", but for those that have this feather, take note of a few things .... the cutting of the leather filaments seems correct. One unique quality of
Coach's feather is that it's not merely cuts made through the leather to make the feather filaments. I mean, on the authentic, there really is extra space between neighboring filaments ... tiny thin strips of leather that have been removed, between side-by-side filaments. That's true here as well.
Also, the metal feather seems right, and I'd be surprised if someone copied the "mould" both that well, and that fast.
And as those that have the feather will know, the studs are on one side, and if you flip it over, you see tiny little metal "teeth" from each stud, sticking through to the other side of the leather. This feather in this auction seems to have the right "tiny holes" in the leather, as if from those teeth, but they don't show the studs. Did they just forget to flip it over? Based on the loop at the top of the feather, it looks like they just never "bothered" to show off the studs. There *are* tiny cuts in the leather though, where the stud teeth should rightfully be. ...... And about that little loop of leather at the top of the feather ... it and its single stitch of black thread does look right.
And look at the date ... Aug 31.
It certainly *looks* real to me, especially given those extra slivers of space between the filaments. .... Am I really seeing what I think I am? (Apologies if I sound too surprised.)
