The feather issue is nuts! I guess Coach doesn't care much about reputation risk. I mean really how much would it cost them to make some more leather feather fobs? I'm thinking about the legacy bags and what if they decided the tassels were not included and yanked them...never would have happened right?

Maybe they downsized the wrong execs or department and got rid of the ones who knew had some idea about running a Company....or is this what they mean by 'tension between utility (without feather) and luxury (with feather)'?

What happened is that it was a promo piece to be given out at fashion events, etc. Because every Coach item has a number, it was in the system. Someone must've posted it up somewhere and everyone started ordering, but it was never meant to be sold.

Dunno if that's fully true, but it does seem a fairly good explanation. When did we first start seeing it?

Also, for the person who asked if it comes with the Rhyder 33 Red Suede, I'll let you know tomorrow. I'm driving into San Francisco to take a look at it and possibly buy (still trying to justify that one! :p )

This is what I heard as well. And it wasn't ALLI Ryder's just specific ones (the orange/black) and you were supposed to have a VIP mailing to get is specifically...like PCE not everyone got it so you would have to know a code to get it when you ordered

Interesting. It's funny how much varied information is out their in the Coach Universe.

I guess if I think about my own company I am sometimes amazed by the lack of communication and the odd ways that people process and misinterpret information. :roflmfao:

I received my 50.00 feather fob on Wednesday in a UPS envelope with tissue paper - no box. It really is beautiful. Except now that I know how "rare" it is to get one, I'm afraid to use it on one of my bags and lose it! lol!

Lol, same here. Mine is still in box with plastic wrap on it
