Mine is supposedly coming on this weeks order. Although I was allowed to buy one also. Yesterday I asked the store what was up with this feather fiasco. She told me only select people, by invite would get the feather. I don't think she's correct either. My guess is they decide when they want to gift you with it on specific bags only. Just my guess.

Why give it free when ordering a bag? People could order a bag just to receive to the gift fob. Then return the bag and keep the fob.
Inconsistent story again and how frustrating to hear people by invite only! Conveniently no response yet to me fr Coach on fb or twitter.
I have been on the fence about the Bronze Rhyder and maybe something like this gift would push me from maybe to yes. But I have a feeling this promo is only happening in Japan and China. Someone else mentioned a few posts back that Coach sent email a month or so ago about a free gift with purchase when the SV collection launched. So I wonder if those people will get the feather. Can anyone locate that thread? I can't find it.

eta: but now that I think about it, that letter *DOES* refer to the Vevers release. So maybe that is it.
But then again, we're well past "late August" as reference by the letter. I don't know what to think.

I called my store to see if they could order the $60 version. She was able to pull it up in the system and she said it showed an inventory of 320. When she tried to place an order though it wouldn't let her. Very annoying that they'd prefer to give it away as a gift than accept money from someone who wants to pay for it....
I know I've posted about this a couple times in this thread - and normally it wouldn't bother me other than the fact that this fiasco has put me over the edge. But.....Has anyone else placed an order for this a week or more ago and not received credit back on their credit card once the charge went through? Mine still hasn't gone through so I contacted my CC company. They said that there has been no activity to suggests an initiation to reverse charge. I called Coach and they gave me the 5-7 business days line. That would be more acceptable if it was a return that I initiated, but they cancelled my order. I'm so over this company.
SA told me she had a customer who order the Ryder 33 in blue and received the $50 fob....so crazy
Correct. Only the flagship coach stores got the $50 feather charm/fob. It appears that with a higher end purchase at those particular stores only you get the feather fob included. In my area only 1 store got them to give as a gift with purchase. Really, how sucky is that!!
I ordered this bag, but no feather. What the heck?? So now you have to live in a certain location. This is crazy!
Yup. I got this bag too & asked my darling SA about it & that's what she told me. Only the (snooty) flagship stores got the feather to give out. Go figure.
