Anyone received the Feather Charm?

I know how you feel regarding the exclusives. Although I'm in Asia, my country doesn't really get many exclusives, probably once in a while. Eg. We had the Regular Soft Borough in the mixed Suede and Retro Glove Tan and I was told that it was exclusive.

However, countries like Japan and China have so many exclusives every month, I think!! And some of their bags are lovely but alas, I can't get them. Furthermore, my country does not get all the bags that are featured on the US site. Another eg. The Rhyder in Jade is exclusive and limited here. There were only 6 and thank goodness I was lucky, I got the last one!!

Plus we can't buy Coach bags on any US site coz once they know that we are in Asia, a page appears saying that we can't buy it. One reason is because it is so much cheaper in the States compared to Asia. So we either have to wait until someone flies over to the US for work or a holiday or we wait till Ebay has it. The prices of Coach here is more than twice the amount. Eg. US$75 Hangtag Case that I just got is SG$145. But if I convert the currency directly, US$75 is only SG$95.

Sorry I hope you did not take offense. It is common here to say Asian exclusives when it probably refers to just China and Japan. Same is true in the US, say we found something on the Japan site we liked, we cannot purchase either. But I hear you on the prices.....crazy!!!
 
I have never heard of Coach having VIPs. Of course I am sure I don't qualify as my buying has been down. But I have only heard of 25% PCE discounts not a 10% VIP especially an ongoing one. Are you located outside the US perhaps? You will have to let us know about the feather charm.


Someone who got the $60 all packaged to the nines, I would love to see photos of the packaging

I threw out the packaging, but it was a nice watch sized textured cardboard gift-jewelry box with the new coach brown color with coach in embossed on the top of the box in gold. Inside the fob was attached to an insert. It was clearly packaged at the factory in the nice box as the fob was attached inside to the insert. There was a brown satin ribbon tying the box closed.

I am liking the feather earrings that look like the $60 fob but I bet they are very small IRL


Ok here is my $60 fob update. I knew it was bad news when I checked my bank account and the money had not been taken out. My order was cancelled too for the same reason as everyone else. I was told we were supposed to get order cancellation notices. I never did, did anyone else?


The SA was super rude. I have only called Coach CS before only to place order or inquire about styles. I never had an issue before and I think the CS reps are just simply not equipped to handle it. As I believe a couple others said the same thing that CS was rude when they called about this. I just kept getting the same story that they received an email that they cannot sell these and all orders were cancelled. Then of course I say that is poor customer service and that if we paid for the item and it was Coach's mistake they should honor the order. Same recited response. Ask to speak to Mgr and am told the Mgrs are busy, I can leave a message but they may not call me today. She also said "no one received these" And when I said to go to the Purse Forum and check she countered with 'get me their order numbers and I will tell you if they received these without purchasing anything else?" Nice. I told her just look up my last order for the leather one which I received duh.


So I pressed and asked if these were gifts with purchase even in the US because I have not seen or heard anything online or in store and she said yes. I pressed further and the feather is supposed to be a gift with any Studded Edie, Taxi Tote or Ryder. Ok how many people have ordered these and not received a gift??? I think we should all tweet to @Coach about this on Monday and create a #featherfob hashtag. It is just poor customer service all around. I have the leather one and am happy with that and not too devastated by this or anything but I guess it's the principle of the whole thing. Not a good way to launch the new line

I did not get a cancellation notice. I WILL say that when I called the CS rep I spoke with was extremely nice and I think very much understood my anger, but there wasn't much she could do about it. I ordered three different Rhyders and not one came with a fob. My store showed me yesterday the notice they got from corporate. It basically indicates that the leather key fob was going to "select" stores as a GWP. Not all stores were given them and if a customer inquired about them, steer them in a different direction. I'm assuming it went to flagship stores and that is it. Meanwhile, my SA looked in the computer and there were 570 of the metal feather in the system and she said she could order it for me. I told her not to bother because I didn't need my card charged twice for something that I know they are going to cancel again anyway. Meanwhile, Still no charge reversal on my card for the one I purchased on Wednesday.
 
This feather fob situation is ridiculous. Coach should honor all orders. Period. My fp store is supposedly a "flagship" but they did not get any of the fobs. When the manager saw the $60 on on my dakota, that is the first time she had seen it in person.

As someone who has bought an edie and a dakota, I was not offered any gifts. It will be interesting to see how many conflicting stories we get for this fob debacle from Coach.

It's not only bad that Coach cancelled the orders for the feather fob but it's even worse that they can not accept their mistake and apologize to customers instead of being rude and lie to them even go to the extreme of recalling orders that are ready to be shipped and already loaded on the trucks:nono::nono:

As for the fob being a gift with purchase, I was also told by CS that only some bags will qualify for the gift, when I asked if any of the rhyders will, she gave me the styles and they correspond to all the elevated Rhyder 33 that show now on the website ( I talked to CS a couple of days before the website was updated). She never mentioned that this will be the case only if those bags were bought a certain specific stores tho, yet, I've noticed a couple of the "qualifying bags have been revealed here and do not have the fob attached. I'm interested in the red suede rhyder which supposedly qualifies for it and will stop by my store in the next couple of days and inquire about it, otherwise I will try to call a Flagship store and see what they say;)

When the Anna Sui collection came out - it wasn't advertised with the fobs and not sold without the fobs. I know the feather fob can't be put on all the purses. but at least put it on the ones that are being advertised. Or offer them for sale.

Well I got a Rhyder 33, a Rhyder messenger and a Rhyder satchel. No fob. I agree with the twitter thing and I am not even a Tweeter:) I emailed them and I called them out on their blatant lying and said I was returning all my bags. The response I got back was that basically they didn't care. It's all the principal of the matter to me.

I agree - they don't care. At least they can hear about it. It's their core fan base they are not making happy. The core fans are the ones that get excited. And buy even without PCE. Coach is losing in sales. It's not a good step for them to make even 20 people not happy. 500.00 x 20 purses = 10,000.00 - imagine, losing sales like that over a feather fob. Simple answer release - and even if on first come first serve basis. It wasn't even advertised as a limited edition item. It was just plastered on all the Rhyder 33 and Satchel. Thats what I don't like.
 
there is a new feather fob being released in May 2015. Probably an item I won't be able to purchase - yet it has a 95.00 price tag! lol It's spring colour feathers. There was no "G" behind the last numbers.

I wonder what the outcome of this feather fob will be for the US or Canada. If New York will be doing a gift with purchase. It's awful people bought these purses and didn't get this gift.
