This is a great bag for anyone, male or female. I can't see the shimmer from the photo, but I definitely will look for this bag the next time I'm in a BV store. I'll bet it's wonderful IRL.

Yes, I believe it will scratch/scuff easily, but it will develop a patina over time. I think it will absolutely glow with a few years of use. Vachetta can probably be polished as well to remove some of the scratches and scuffs.
