My DIL went today, she came at 8:30, she was in line between 18th and 19th on 6th Ave. In 5 minutes the line circled the block to 19 street.
She was able to get in at 12:30. No she stands on line to register, she says it is the long line. Let's see if they fixed the registers

Did anyone get any great finds at the sale who did not go on the private day yesterday (although I am happy for all of you who got those great cashmere shawls)? If so, please report!!! Personally, I think my Avalon blanket was a good find today, but how about scarves, belts, jewelry.....

I saw a woman today with a beautiful orange scarf with so many beautiful colors - bright blues, greens, yellows and monkeys in the corner...does anyone know what that scarf is?

I am sorry for mistyping - my DIL arrived at 9:30, not 8:30.

Galpal, I was considering that carre, but something I loved better came up. Sorry, I do not remember the name of that design, but I loved the monkey and other animals on it. Reminds me of Dallet style. I think, it was his signature on design

Thanks so much, Lady Luna. I may go back later this week to look for it. Very depressing though to see the report on racked.com that they brought out a stack of cashmere GMs this afternoon, and I missed it!! Especially after asking a number of salespeople and all of them saying that there were no more after yesterday. Oh well, had to go to work (in this economy I should be happy to have a job). Maybe next time, I'll be lucky enough to grab one!

Actually, reread racked.com, and it looks like this recount was from yesterday even though it was posted today! I feel so much better! Ok, I'm going to stop obsessing and go back to work. Thanks for humoring me, ladies!

Those cashmere shawls were like the loch ness monster...now you see it now you don't and no H sa can neither confirm nor deny the existence of more....

Keep in mind these sales happen every 6mos and the merchandise varies...never seen so much china and crystal ever before, all front and center like that. Saddles, never before either.

The GP selection was really nice, especially the color ranges...

The 90cm scarf collection I thought was a little anemic...but that they had 70cm's was for me a big hit, even if they only had two or three patterns.
