Ok thank you:) so, if its around P40k to P50k you’d suggest I ship it to a U.S. address right?:)

There are also duties and taxes in shipping to the US but the Farfetch shipping cost already includes these, so no surprises. It's indicated in the page before you check out. But I think it's not big.

I'm estimating that the forwarder's charge may be around P5k-6k, hopefully the seller will not put the item in a very big box. I guess overall cost will still be cheaper if you ship to the US.

Ah really?I should try to use the app next time. There are some boutiques i really want to avoid.
I am getting ready to buy my first purchase from Farfetch and wanted to make sure this isn't one of the "true good to be true" sites again.By any chance you know which boutiques are reputable to buy from? I am going to download their phone app :) Thanks in advance!

Hi, I just made a few purchases again from the site yesterday as they are having a sale. I actually haven't bought anything which seemed fake. The last time I was having doubts about one boutique in Poland but I had my purchase authenticated and turned out to be real. So I would say they're pretty legitimate =)

I've never questioned their authenticity. I bought my Chloe Susannah boots off there and they were fine. Also bought a MBMJ bag and it was fine. Just bought two Proenza Schouler bags and they should be authentic. :) My sister has also bought from them and had no issues.

Purchase from Farfetch ended badly for me...after 1 year of thinking over expensive purchase I finally decided to treat myself and bought 2 pairs of shoes only because there was Black Friday discount days... I paid around 600 euros which for me is quite big amount of money. I choose PayPal as payment, as I did not want to show my credit card details, just for extra security, as somehow my intuition was telling me, that it will be better... Just after payment went through and money went out of my account, I received email from FArfetch, that my order was cancelled because they could not determine if I was legitimate customer....E-mail did not stated that I could use other payment option ... I understood, that in this case my money will be freezed until this case will be resolved and obviously I would not get my shoes with discount anymore...Somehow I felt ripped off because idea came into my mind that it was done on purpose in order not to sell with such a big discount which in my case was around 200 euros.... I wrote a letter to Farfetch stating that I want my money back into account straight away and I also complained about bad service where I felt like I was kind of criminal and not worth a penny as a new customer. I received reply from Farfetch that they are sorry but hey will return my money back only after 10 business days. As the result, I still don't have my money in account and I don;t know if I will get it ever back, as my Farfetch order from PayPal has disappeared from history of purchases....I still hoping that until 10 days will pass, I will get my money back but meanwhile I am hugely disappointed that in the age of internet online purchases company as Farfetch use people' s trust and throw costumers in trash bin with no respect. As much I liked shoes I wanted to buy, I would not give even 1 cent of my hardly earned money for company like Farfetch. Real shame...

I think your issue stems from the fraud protection layer that PayPal has built into its system. PayPal has the fraud prevention build automatically into all of the PayPal accounts. Hence, for international customers, who suddenly place high value orders that are completely out of the norm, PayPal will automatically put the payments on review.

PayPal then will email the vendors to let them know that PayPal is doing fraud reviews on those particular payments. PayPal give the vendors 2 choices. The vendors can either issue refunds back to the customers or wait it out for the fraud reviews to be completed before they can ship out the products to the customers.

Honestly if I am a vendor and I receive the fraud review email from PayPal, I would hesitate to ship out my goods because I do not know if I would be losing my goods/money or not.

I think in cases like yours, it is best that you give PayPal a call to verify that you authorize for the payment so that PayPal can clear your payment. And then you can contact Farfetch to see if they can honor the sale prices and place your order over the phone with them.

In the mean time, I have just placed 2 orders with Farfetch / Biondini Paris, and I will update as soon as the orders comes in. I am crossing my fingers that my orders will be trouble-free.

I have been using PayPal for over 15 years, I am not an international customer, I did not suddenly (!?) place high value (?!) order and I had the same experience as the person you are replying to. To make it more interesting Farfetch is the only vendor I experienced this kind of unacceptable treatment.

I am sorry to hear that. If Farfetch deliberately canceled your order, then the fault was with them. May I ask if you have ever reached out to PayPal to inquire about that particular payment? PayPal never notifies the buyers when it puts payments on review. It just lets the vendors know so the vendors can decide on what to do, and that is pretty much it.

Also when I stated international customers, I had the notion that most of the boutiques that Farfetch places the orders with are based in Europe. Hence, if I am in U.S., then my payment would be an international payment. My previous reply is based on my experience of being located in the U.S.

At my workplace, many times for orders that are over $300 from oversea customers that have shipping forwarders in the U.S., we get the fraud review notifications from PayPal. We usually have to contact the customers ourselves, ask them to get in touch with PayPal to verify, and then the funds are released.

We find it easy to have our customers contact PayPal directly because we still have not figured out what causes PayPal to put a red flag on a particular payment. And PayPal will only speak/impart information to the account holders due to privacy rights.

I would never buy from farfetch again! Last year I bought my third item from them, a small black Valentino rockstud bag. On its first outing I was sitting at dinner and went to get something out of the bag. At this point the chain fell apart! I have a red one too which I bought from selfridges that has lasted me years with no problems. I was so embarrassed and contacted them for a refund which they agreed to. I sen the item back and two weeks later rang up to be told I wouldn't be getting a refund and it was under investigation. The bag broke within the first week.. Seemed Abit suspect hmm? After ringing around for over a month I had to tell them I would be getting a lawyer and going to the media if they didn't reimburse me. They finally did, but it was a sour experience. Maybe the bag was fake? How on earth could all the links fall apart within a week. Strange.

Well I got my Chloe Faye plum purple from them, my experience was wholly good to be honest. I ordered just after Christmas (the 28th or 29th, I can't remember!) and shipping turned out to take a bit longer because of the New Year celebrations here in the UK. However, both they and their sister company Browns (the boutique from which my bag was shipped) were very helpful and gave me lots of updates about my bag, where it was etc. I also got my £5 shipping refunded because it took longer than usual (about 6 days instead of 3), and got a free shipping code for my next order. I know others have had worse experiences and my heart goes out to those people, but mine was pretty good. The bag arrived with two different dust bags, full invoice, authenticity card to register online, packaged very well and was given to me by secure DHL express. I was fairly impressed, all in all.
