Anyone else find themselves only liking newer styles just because they are new?

I have to remind myself that it's a lot like something I already have.

this thinking has prevented me from purchasing similarities in one way or another, knowing, I wouldn't truly be happy with it anyways! . . .

I am pretty picky so I usually don't find myself liking newer styles just because it is new.

I pretty much wear what I like and don't worry if something is from this season or
from several years ago. Oddly enough for me my favorite bags are
the Legacy Anniversary Collection. I have lots of bags from that collection and
don't see myself tiring of any of them. The are true iconic bags. I feel the same
way about my Ergos. I have some from 2002 and I don't think I would ever sell
them. I don't like much of the new stuff so it's a good thing I have my Legacy's.

This is exactly how I feel about my Legacy bags. I love them and would never give them up. Well, I did just unload one but that was because I had two bags that were nearly identical.

Maybe, for me, my obsession isn't about newer styles that come out; maybe it's just about not carrying anything but Legacy. The more I think about it, that is probably a more accurate statement. I only carry black bags anyway and none of the newer colorful styles ever appeal much to me.

I've been able to resist purchasing bags I loved but didn't need by telling myself that they are probably going to "update" the style in the future. Of course that only works if you love what they did to the newer version.
