Anyone else feel somewhat embarrassed about LV?

No way! We don't need to lie and say it's preowned if it's not, or say we got it for a steal if we didn't! It's not other people's business how much we spend on what, if they can't deal it's their problem not mine. The most I will say is "thanks, it was a gift" and that's it, no more explanations about my belongings to anyone, besides, asking about this stuff is rude!

I'm never embarrassed to wear my LVs. The only place that I used to not wear my LVs was work but since I got my de speedy b, I've been wearing her to work. I really do not care what people think of me and how I spend my money. It's none of their business, I'm not in debt and I have never asked anyone for help financially so judgmental people can kick rocks!
I try not to draw attention to it..i feel happy, powerfull & certainly when i carring my LV bags..
oh i never care about looks or other people's weird jealous issues. they should just all mind their own business! i love all my bags and accessories n i don't care what others think at all. i'm just happy with living my life. 
I carry any one of my LV bags without even thinking about anyone. My Delightful is for the days I need to carry folders. Tivoli is for regular days. Thames is for days when I have an after work dinner event.
Amen to that...I just got my first Louis, and I felt embarrassed for the first week. But it wore offJust wear them bc you want to, and don't let others control what you do. You should be proud that you are debt free!!
Congrats that you almost paid your loan off. Don't be embarrassed of carrying your paid for handbag that you bought. That's your bag that you worked hard for your money that you almost paid off your student loan. Who cares on what people think. I'm sure that they don't give you money to pay your student loan or your other bills, enjoy carrying your bag.
Before I ever purchased Coach or LV when I seen someone carry one I would just think to myself "I like it or not my taste" it never made me upset that I was unable to have one at that time in my life. I didn't make me think anything snotty towards the lady who had it either.
Now that I am able to buy a nice item for myself I am a bit timid but not too much. I usually buy the DE but I am not self conscious about that print hardly at all. I do have a mono speedy as well. I am working on using all I have acquired this coming year.
I have seen two close loved ones pass with cancer this year :'( and it really bothered me how they had so many nice things they were saving for the "right time" and sadly the right time didn't come around very often. I think this year I'm taking my bag in the dollar store because I just don't care anymore...life is too short.

actually, i can relate to OP. people around me don't carry branded bags.
it's only recently that i started buying them cos i realise that cheap bags fall apart easily
and the amount of money i spent on them, i can easily get branded bags that last for YEARS.
i feel self conscious too cos unfortunately, i have a face that looks like i live off men and don't look smart
the truth is i have a degree and is well respected in the office but people outside the office may think otherwise. it also doesn't help that now i stopped working and my DH is a successful banker, though these days, working in a bank is unstable ( if anyone is following up with finanical news, they will know)
i buy bags with my own money, a few are given as gifts from DH. i have 6 figures savings, all saved up from working earlier but i still feel conscious. it's funny how i go to the stores and use my own $$ to pay for the bags, the SA there suck up to my DH and think he is the one paying for them!
it's silly i know. i told DH how i feel, he just laughed and said i think too much.

The passive-aggressive behavior of that lady (she's 50 and I'm 34) is getting out of control. What lesson do I get from this? No one can stop me carrying my LV if I want to!
this is the reason why i will never work under a female boss! i have tried briefly and gotten the same treatment as you. it's scary how unprofessional they are!
it's so much easier working for male bosses and they actually appreciate you dressing well for work and only cared about your work performance!
i hope you win the case, gets loads of compensation and buy more LVs!!!
just yesterday, i was at Armani Exchange queueing up to try on a denim shirt and a lady who was carrying a Neverfull (Damier Ebene) walked past with her daughter and gave a smurk look on her face, i don't know what was that smurk look for ... but somehow the Beauborg that i carry is still newer looking and definitely more expensive than the Neverfull 
I do not have my LV yet, but I think what might make me shy about carrying one would be that people might assume that it was a fake, and I would rather rock a plastic garbage bag than a fake. Besides, I have seen where some people will assure others that their bag is not a fake and they either get "yeah right" or "why do you spend so much on a bag?". You cannot win! That is why I plan to carry DE instead of mono.....also I just prefer it.
I feel the same with my Coaches. That is why I don't really carry siggys, (I have one purple op art and it is breathtaking....had to make a siggy exception). I figure that if I carry the less well known of the designer bags, people who really know their bags can comment (hopefully pleasantly) and the rest can just know I carry beautiful bags.
A side note.....after I fulfill my neverfull dreams I am thinking of some Balenciaga. They are great as far as flying under the radar goes :
