i don't know..i'm 21 and still think of myself as young.

then again what wouldn't i give to be 18 again!

O/T, but ms whitney - I still think of myself as young . . . but I'm 34! Of course, then I get a nice reality check when I'm teaching and I mention something that happened in the 80s when I was 12 or so and I get a response of blank stares and crickets chirping b/c they weren't old enough to remember it :shame:

I have to agree with aarti as far as one brand being as ubiquitous as the other - in my particular area, I would say I see either equal Coach and LV, perhaps a smidge more LV. I see each brand equally on the "tween" and teen set.

But that could definitely vary depending on where you live.

34 is not old!

We went to a High School Wrestling match, me 30 and BF 34....when we paid to get in the lady asked which wrestler was our son!!!!!!!!!!!

HELLLLLLO

I still get carded for alcohol, but some woman thought I could mother a 16 year old! Laughed my butt off. Told BF it had to be him and I was just a "step-mom"

Though the signature collection is stylish- I hate the fact it has to announce- HEY YUP IT'S A COACH BAG I'M WEARING! - I think the quality should speak for itself (hence not a fake!). I bought the bag, I should get paid for the bag if they're going to be using me as a billboard! Bring on the beautiful leather. I've been buying vintage coach bags and I'm loving them more than the ones in the store right now. Having a 10+ year old bag that still looks beautiful- that's quality and style, which is why I'm willing to pay more for the real thing. Getting off the soapbox now.

I love Coach, always have, always will. I used to love LV. In fact, I got my first authentic LV (the small bucket) when I was 22. However, in my area, LVs are faked way more than Coach! I must agree with a previous poster who said that everytime she sees an LV she immediately thinks its fake. So do I! :crybaby: Which is a shame, really, b/c they are nice bags. Coach, to me, says "quality". Yes, I do see 12 year olds running around the malls with the demis, but whatever...9/10 times they are real. I really like all the Coach bags, especially Limited Edition (which I always seem to decide I must have once there's not one left on this planet), but I haven't bought a new one in over 2 years. I keep looking and asking everyones opinion on this site, but nothing bag wise has really appealed to me. I love their designs, but as of late, nothing for me! I do LOVE their shoes, though and the rest of their accessories! My last LOVE LOVE LOVE design wise, were the white dots. :smile1:

I used to only carry Coach--loved the quality and styles. Now, each season seems to be a near duplicate of the last (with the exception of the legacy) and nothing new to grab my interest. I did buy the brown leather shoulder tote and a small leather duffle at one of the recent friends and family events, but that was my only Coach purchase in the last year.
I was almost excited about the prospect of red leather this fall, only to see it in the store--PINK!!!???!!!
I still love my old Coach bags, but my recent purchases have been LV.

Here's my problem with it - the signature bags. I just have a problem being a walking advertisement. That, and EVERYONE seems to have a Coach. I'll spend a lot of money on a bag, but I don't need everyone to know how much I spent. I'd also like to be at least a little more unique.

That's why I prefer the legacy line. The legacy bags have great leather and the bag doesn't scream the designers name. I don't mind if people recognize the bag, but I don't want it to be a billboard either.

I have one signature piece, a swing pack. I liked last years signature large beaded totes and regret not having one. Mostly I stick to leather. But then I am very very old, almost 37 lol.

For what it's worth, my granny just got her first Coach bag yesterday at 80 years old. I gave it to her for her birthday and she is absolutely in love with it. I guess that you can never be too young or too old.

LOL Bite your tongue Helen, I have a few years on you!! I refuse to believe I am getting old.....Coach makes me feel young again lol

lol Coach definitely has that effect on me too. I actually started my love affair with Coach and bags that were more expensive, a little later than most. Around 31 or 32. Before that I liked bags but bought the cheaper ones. I really got tired of zippers breaking, liners getting ripped, straps breaking while I was carrying my stuff....
