Anyone else Discouraged by Coach?

There are so many reasons to love Coach, but for me it's the ability to have a well-made bag at a fairly reasonable price that is FUN (like the BumbleBee's or the Light Blue Soho Hobo)! Oh and all the accessories! (You are going to make me order something tonight! All of you are such bad influences!) Plus, if you don't like anything from a line, wait a little bit. More stuff is constantly on its way.

I think LV is stuffy. When I think about the types of people who carry LV, I think of my friend’s mom who thinks she's too good for everyone (even her own kids!). She'd never carry less than a LV but my friend LOVES Coach. When they go out together, my friend gets more complements on her bag than on the LV. She's even been told that she should get her mom into Coach so she will stop buying fakes (they aren't btw). Why spend all that money for someone to assume it's fake?

Just my thoughts... Off to Coach.com...

Maybe you're just going through a "phase"? I love Coach but sometimes in the past when I didn't find anything I liked, I bought what I did like from other designers. And then comes a new season and a new design and I'm back lusting over Coach (ex. the new legacies - YUM ). I flip flop like this all the time.

I'm a firm believer that you can love a variety of designer handbags without your handbags getting jealous of each other. LOL

But unlike most of you, I live in an area where I infrequently see designer bags (or fakes) so that's not an issue for me.

I think we all definitely go through "designer phases." I did not carry Coach for years, but after finding this place, it re-ignited my Coach fire. Also, since I have been here I realize I am a bag collector. Vera Bradley (really cheap in comparison) just released new colors and styles. Even though I carry Coach and Dooney ALOT, I put in an order with my local boutiqe to get some new Vera stuff. Why? Because I like bags!!!!!!! I even bought one in another state today ( I have a standing weekly hair appt. in my hometown) so I would be one of the first in my little rural town with one of the new bags. Why? Because I love bag!!!!!!

I love Coach. I am blessed to live near an outlet, and have found good deals there. Sometimes I am not too enthused by a line, so I wait for something I really love. The fakes are a turnoff, no matter what brand. I do admire other brands but I seem to come back to Coach.

You will love the new shapes this season. My new favorite color is called Peacock. I was not too impressed with the new colors, but there are like 6 or 7 new style bags. Go to the website if you get a chance. In my little rural town Vera rules. I am a teacher and the students carry lots of pieces at the high school. In the community the adults are rockin it too!

The darn contrasting stitching prevented me from buying bags. I basically own two balenciagas, a longchamp tote, and then accessories. I do LOVE the stripe line, and when it comes to coach leather I am not a fan of the pebbled, but I do love the glove tan leather like the embossed. But like you all I don't wnat to buy somethign retail when in a couple of weeks it'll be 2/3s cheaper. I'm just looking at the pond wristlet to go with ink day, and thinking of a keychain and shoes, i'm worried the keychain will go to the outlets thoguh.

i'll always love coach but there are times/seasons when there's nothing that i'm crazy about.so i pick up some accessories..skinny's, wristlets and charms!!
the two bags i've recently purchased were actually ones i loved last year and regreted not purchasing, thankfully i found both through JAX and was able to order......i am one who does love signature especially with a gold, metalic or white trim!!!! it doesnt bother me that there are fake bags out there
as i know what i'm carrying......i am a teacher and am not able to buy anything and everything like some.......so i'm proud of what i do own and wear it happily

I love Coach and LV. I find myself discouraged with LV-constant price increases, products lacking in quality, now the word of them manufacturing in India.

I think you should just keep watching, Coach has some seasons that are bad and some that are AWESOME....

I'm back and forth with LV. I know and I;ve seen the sterotype it feeds off of, but would like a cles and wapity. I was going to get the wapity, but it only comes in monogram and multicolor, and for some reason I couldn't bring myself to buy the mono wapity, I just didn't like what it connotates to myself. I was thinking of buying the groom cles, only because with its price point (on cles' in general) I'd want the most bang for my buck, and the girls tell me this fits a lot more then the epi..which i do like.

i love sig. I do not really care if anyone thinks i have a fake bag, because i know i dont.
I think way too many people care about what others may or may not think of them.

Seriously I am dreading the new scriblle line-always disliked it. And what color are they doing the sig this season? Last spring it was opal (blue) then green.......

ugh I can't even type about the hobo's and duffles...

It just seems everywhere I go I see the Coach Logo or the silver round hardware. I want something Coach that is different. (like the legacy line) LOVE my whiskey shoulder. I wish they would do more classy leather lines.

I understand where you are coming from. I too am tired of all the Signature that is out there, real and fakes. If you really want Coach to do something different I suggest you write a letter to their Corporate Office. I wrote a letter to them in Spring 06. In that letter I told them that I had not purchased a bag from them in four years due to the fact that all they were making was signature. I told them that the last bag I purchased from them was the Ergo Hobo No. 9228 and that I would appreciate them bringing back
that line. They are bringing back the Ergo this spring due to my strong letter. Write them a letter and let them know how you feel.

I just hate that so many people wear it, but I tend to stay away from styles that everyone and their mom carrry.

I'm more put off by LV as I see it everywhere. The replica quality are getting better and to an ordinary person, they can't see the difference. Even real ones are mistaken as fake.
