As a guy, I find myself wanting a bigger wallet. I find compact wallet are not enough for me. I need more card space! Sometime I also want to carry more cash on me.
So I bought a Coach wallet. But next on my wishlist is a breast wallet from LV. But I do still see the importance of compact wallet for small bags. I am also eyeing on Mulberry mens tri-fold wallet. :p

I use this wallet. It's about 5 inches wide by 3 inches tall. I carry a few bills in the centre part and about 4 cards on each side and it fits quite nicely. If you carry a lot of cash or coins it probably wouldn't work because it would get too bulky.

Nice. I'd like to find something with separators like this. The one downside to kissing a coin purse is everything is jumbled together...

A common complaint i think, i know my son and husband complain too. Also the lack of coin holders.. my son is a cash type and finding any with decent coin area is a challenge.

I use both, big and small wallets depending from the bag and the purpose of use. If I go to work, and do grocery shopping, I will need my grocery cards and coupons. If I go to specific meetings, then I need my make-up bag and agenda etc. So for these purposes I need my bigger wallet.
Recently, I just started to discover how nice it is to use a clutch for a dinner date or for drinks. I bought myself a nice small wallet, where I can fit cash, my ID, and my bank cards. I think that for an evening out, I don't really need any cards or coupons. And this works for me.
However, I really can't switch towards a small wallet and use it all the time. I really feel myself very awkward when sephora has spontaneous sales, and my card is at home. Or when I go to a spontaneous dinner, but have no make-up with me. Here's my pic of the SLG that I use when I go out 'light'

I am bad. I have a large wallet with cc's and loyalty cards and cash bills. I usually put receipts in it too. If I want, my phone fits too. But I also carry a separate coin wallet, and a separate card/ID holder with my work ID card and metro cards in it. That way I can get to those cards easily and stuff it in my pocket for easier access.

Oh, I just bought a small Gucci wallet (with the painted flowers) but haven't changed into it yet.

Earlier last year I started looking to downsize. I had always carried huge travel wallets. I loved them. But the area near my office was going downhill fast, and I wanted to become less of a target and started downsizing. I still wanted an open flat wallet similar to my travel wallet but one that would fit in any bag. I found one from LV and after i got over the price sting from that purchase, I have been very happy with it.

Hi guys,
More and more the fullsize wallets seem so big to me....any of you use cardholders only? Do you miss the extra space?

I made the move from small coin purses to a large continental long wallet. While I appreciate the spaciousness and that my bills are finally straight, and I have a lot of card slots, I am now beginning to find it bulky and not easy to hold in one hand. I am also getting tired of tucking it under my arm. So my next wallet probably will be a wallet on chain or a small compact wallet.

I have two wallets, one small and one larger. The larger one can hold my phone, zips, and has a detachable wristlet, so it can come in handy if I need to run out of work and grab lunch. But the smaller one is definitely my favorite - I don't need to size, I only carry several cards and a few bills.

I've been done with large wallets ever since I had my wallet stolen. It made me realize I didn't even know what all I had in there. I don't need to carry anything but the very basics so I know what to replace if it ever happens again. The largest wallet I'll carry now is a zippy coin purse, nothing any bigger.

i've been using wallet on chain and wristlet as wallet for ages.

no way i can use smaller wallet, as i love to put my phone in my wallet. easier for grab-and-go that way.

After using a large zip-around wallet, I decided I really wanted to downsize but still needed something with enough credit card slots and that could hold my bills separately. I ended up with this Celine wallet. I love it because it's compact but still holds everything I need on a daily basis. Having the coin pouch in the middle with card slots on either side took a little getting used to, but it really works for me. It measures about 4 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches. I think about trying to downsize even more, but not sure I can and still have the function I want...

I can't stand large wallets. I use a compact Comme Des Garcon wallet, and it's awesome. It leaves room in my bag to carry things I actually need. Sometimes I'll see women with giant wallets that are overstuffed with loyalty cards and old receipts and I'm tempted to offer to clean it out for them. You don't need loyalty cards from every single store and you don't need receipts from everything you've ever bought! You don't! Throw it all out!

Yes!! So over big wallets. I use a LV Pochette cles for my credit cards, insurance card, ID, some cash etc. and a small cardholder for loyalty cards. Since the loyalty cards aren't as necessary, I can just attach the Cles to my keychain when I'm leaving the house if I need to grab and go. Otherwise it works as a wallet for me :)
