Anyone done with big wallets?

My large zip wallet has all 12 card spaces filled and more so in the side pockets lol... I have so many reward cards, membership cards etc...

That all said i recently grabbed a card holder(mini skinny) and now keep my debt and what reward cards i will need for the day in it, so much easier pulling it out vs my large wallet.

So i guess you could say i have pared down somewhat but my large wallet is still with me so i can refer back to it for whatever cards i need.

I'm totally done with big wallets!!!
Actually... I sold them all (not that many.. haha) on eBay!

I found an incredibly handy "regular" sized black Prada wallet s few years ago at an outlet and that was it! It was just so small and handy! I could fit it in most of my coat/jacket pockets!!
Unfortunately I shoved it into a shopping bag with stuff I got at the drugstore and sure enough a bottle of cleaner wasn't fully screwed and spilled all over it. Pure chemical!! The leather got stinky and after washing it got all wobbly and weird :'(
So I got another one. A small Chloé Faye wallet in black.
Most of any sorts of cards come as an app these days, which makes life with small wallets way easier ;D and if I still really need any card, I have them sperately in a little cards-only-wallet. Which I only bring with me if I know I'll need it!
I only (try) to buy small handbags as well.
It's just the best way to restrain myself from carrying around too much stuff!!! ;)

Nope, love large wallets.

I do have a few small ones that I use occasionally, but I prefer the bigger ones.

Had a bifold, tried a large wallet and was frustrated that it took up so much space in small cross bodies since I also like carrying a water bottle. Now I use a coin purse with a few cards and not much cash. I haven't used much cash for years.

I recently dropped a wallet in a cab though and I wonder if I would've been more aware had it been large. But then I would've hated to lose all my cards instead of just the select few... I definitely only carry a small wallet when traveling.

I've switched into small card cases from time to time but I just can't quit my large wallet. It keeps all my cards and cash organized and since I have to keep receipts for work, etc, it's just much easier to have it in one place. Once I start separating into more than one thing (card case plus anything else), I end up at the doctor's office without my medical card.

Me too! Except that I also use a wristlet for cash, and the cards I use often. So much easier to carry a wristlet & cardholder in my smaller bags compared to big wallets. I am also forced to clean out receipts, which is a good habit!

ME! You can count me as a cardholder only user. I found that I just stuffed my larger wallets with way more than I need on a daily basis and by using just the card case, I am forced to clean out receipts, etc. regularly. Plus it makes it so much easier to transfer bags, which I try to do almost daily. I don't regret it one bit!

I think it really depends on how much you carry. If you're someone who has a lot of cards, I totally understand having a big wallet to fit all your items. I only carry about 8 cards and a few bills so I switched to a zip card case earlier this year and have never looked back. I hated having to switch wallets whenever I wanted to use a small bag, so I find this makes the process so much easier.

Colieolie I am curious to find out about your zip card case. I have a card case but it is not a zip one and all the cards are on the outside with a zip pocket for coins or paper money/credit card slips - although the zipper pocket is not very big. I am wanting to downsize from a huge wallet to a lighter smaller wallet and perhaps a more practical card case. I know I definitely need something lighter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use this wallet. It's about 5 inches wide by 3 inches tall. I carry a few bills in the centre part and about 4 cards on each side and it fits quite nicely. If you carry a lot of cash or coins it probably wouldn't work because it would get too bulky.

Yep. I hate big wallets. They are an excuse to carry more than I need. I have a flat card case that has two open slots that allows me to carry cash and 2 checks without folding, 6 cards and a zipper compartment for a little change.

Unfortunately, it's seen better days and wasn't a great brand to start. I need to replace it but can't find this style in a quality brand. 😰
