Anyone bought from Pierotucci?

Just as a general comment....any hardware where metal is touching metal is going to get scratched a lot more (with less use!) than metal touching leather. I have a Goldenbleu Jordan satchel that I love, but the way the handles are attached involves metal touching metal and the hardware is already pretty scratched despite good treatment and few uses.

Still...hardware shouldn't be chipped and peeled like that when you first get it. Can you return it?

I don't know, I will definetely file the claim with paypal about item being defective.
Pierotucci said all sales items sale are final, they forget to mention for sale items they ship out defective merchandises. I am very disappointed. Even my Orlandi bag started to peel out after couple of years and I avoid any kind of gold hardware as much as possbly. Still, it is a new bag, and they gold plated the hardware... I am very confused. I understand the gold part will disappear with time, but not in a new condition.

Do a search of that brand and my name and you will get the low down of the horrible experience I had with them. They sent me a scratched bag and did NOTHING. I will NEVER do business with them again.

Pierotucci said that missing paint is not missing paint and I need to take dump cloth and polish it so it will restore. :wtf: Apparently they are not into quality. They are in such denial that they only make highest quality possible, it make me wonder what is the lowest by the standards?
I have not seen any single bag in outlets with missing paint on hardware like I receive from them.
Lionlaw, could you send me a link to your thread? I saw you were waiting for the same bag I ordered - the red kelly like.

Gosh, how awful alice87. My pierotucci bag arrived last week and it's fine. I'd also heard only great things about them. I've just ordered another one... hoping it's going to be OK! Both my purchases are sales items so I'm not sure they'll be returnable if damaged or scratched. They seem so helpfull too - I've emailed them with questions about leather types and colours and they've been responsive. I hope you resolve your issue! I ordered the same style in cognac!

Thank you for answer.
My belief is that item on sale should not be equal defective item. Or the defect should be disclose initially, who in the right mind would pay so much for defective bag?
They allow me to return bag after I filed a claim with paypal. I don't know if they are helpful or not, but the CS rep was trying to tell me the thing you see on the picture (the missing pain and damaged gold) is not a defect.
The leather is nice on this bag, the stitches straight and the feel of the bag is wonderful. But who wants the bag with damaged hardware?
Another thing - the CS rep sent me return instructions and they are more than strange, I should send item back by ups method and declare value of 50 dollars for them not to pay taxes. I will keep all e-mails it just does not sound right.....

Hello ladies,
I have been lurking on the forum for ages and loving all the different bags you've been showing. So "hi" everyone.:smile1:
I love quality leather and timeless styles. I've just ordered a pierotucci bag in the sale - love it! I bought a large - I mean large! - birkin style bag (45 cm). I've read a lot of good things about their CS and quality. And want to order a couple of customized bags. Are all the PT ladies still satisfied with their purchases? How does the quality stand up? Have there been any problems with returning damaged items (I noticed one lady on the forum had some trouble recently trying to return a bag with damaged hardware)?
So, guys, what do you think? Does PT get a  for durability and quality?
Thanks ladies :flowers:

Alice, you're totally right that a sale item should not be defective.:s You must be very disappointed. You're right to keep all your e-mails. I have no experience sending goods back by UPS. But I have often sent things to the US (from Europe) and quoted a low rate for customs duties. Otherwise customs charges can be quite steep. Good luck with everything and let us know how you get on. I would like to order a customized bag from them, but after hearing your experience, I have doubts.:confused1: Buying online is always a bit of a gamble. I'd rather hold onto my cash!

the lady with troubles is right here.
I would be careful with gold hardware, after seeing my pictures you can make up your mind about how good gold hadrware is from this company.
I don't think their plating is good.
If you see such problem the bag become unusable...
