rainrowan, what a sweet hubby! I usually buy the bag then show it to my husband and say, "Look what you got me for my birthday!" :laugh:

I'd probably have taken the bag too, but there is an Hermes twilly I've got my eye on... :graucho:

You keep saying that P stole H idea, but yet you don't have anything showing that Hermes has sued them or anything. Companies don't let other companies steal ideas. That is why they have corp lawyers.

So either Hermes knows they haven't stolen their idea or they really don't care because they are still making millions.

Either way, I don't see anything wrong with buying a P bag if someone really wants it.

ETA: I don't own a P bag but if I wanted one I would buy one. And I own a H bag.

socalgem, you really are a gem. Thanks for the supportive comments on this thread, I for one, appreciate hearing from someone who understands from both sides.

I'm happy to know you have an H bag, I'm sure you carry it with your own special style!

I'm so glad I came back to this thread. It always upsets me to see the bad comments, because everybody cannot afford an Hermes. In my case, I am not anywhere near an Hermes store or a boutique that carries them. In traveling to places that do, I don't have time left in my life to get an SA to form a bond with to *get a Birkin, which is my favorite.

So many people love the P bags for their workmanship and beauty, and I am one of them. I won't get the P Birkin style, which I LOVE, because it is so recognizable and I don't want anyone to think I have a Birkin when I don't. (scarves are a different matter, but I order them from the online Hermes, and I've definitely caught that "bug." :))

Back to the point, SoCalGem - You truly ARE a gem and a class act. Thank you so much for your comments. :)

oo these look like nice bags! Does anyone know how to convert it to US money though? I'm thinking of ordering from there since it'll prob be quite awhile before I have a trip to italy.

I know a lot of people who went to Italy that say they make great quality leather products. Isn't hermes made in Italy anyway (no tomatoes if I'm wrong lol but I don't really have any desire to spend more than 1,500 on a bag. that's my cut off). There are places that can custom make things for you as well for a lot cheaper then a hermes and I heard the quality is awesome for the price as good as any 1,000 bag.

Just click on a bag, and then where it has the price, it has the option to View in $. Just click on the $, and it will show you prices in USD. Let us know what you get!

Hello everyone,
I've read this forum for quite a while now and read a lot of positive comments on Piero Tucci bags. So Id ecided to get one. I was looking at it for couple years but was not comfortable ordering it from Italy. Because the shipping issues even within US is an issue and shipping abroad make it more difficult and complicated.
So, I've ordered the bag and it arrived.
The hardware that hold handles is in horrendous condition. It is so badly scratched and damaged I could not believe it.
I need to say I hate gold hardware on a bag, it tend to peel with time, lost its luster and it does not hold well IMHO. I had Marino Orlandi bag and gold hardware started loosing color in couple years and it was impossible to fix it.
I was reluctant to order the bag but the comments here were so wonderful...
I recently read a book by Dana Thomas How luxury lost its luster where she stated that American consumers will accept any kind of quality and they simply don't care. I am not American orginally and if this is the quality Pierotucci provided, shame on them.
I would like to hear if you ordered anything from them with gold hardware - what condition did it arrived in?
