Thanks for the replies!! I am going into Florence store tomorrow to compare. My SA in Rome was rushing us...the store was swamped. I want to love my purchase like all of my LV’s and not feeling it yet. The bag IS absolutely lovely. (The hidden zipper compartment I would use). Any thoughts on this bag V Surene? Thanks all!!

I wish I’d seen this thread before! I bought a V tote in Paris in February and didn’t even post a reveal or anything because it didn’t seem to be a popular bag! It was giving me a bit of a complex. It’s become my go-to day bag for the last couple of months!
That’s really odd about the tough zipper; mine are zipping super smoothly.
Empreinte seems so luxurious but I opted for “Safran” leather with mono because of the toughness of canvas. Maybe it’s just psychological too but the canvas feels more smooth and supple than the canvas I’ve got for my other Vuitton bags. I don’t worry about it cracking at the folds like people do with their Pochette Métis!

I considered the Surene too but in person, I wasn’t so crazy about the gold chain. I’m normally all about the hardware but the chain looked a bit cheap to me, IMO. I do like that it has feet though and it’s slimmer than a Chanel GST.
I had the Surene and recently sold it. It was replaced by the V tote in black empreinte. The Surene is a beautiful bag but the chain straps were a little bit heavy for me and I like the option of a hand carried bag. I love the look of the chains, dresses the bag up a bit, the V tote is lighter so I made the decision to go that route. Honestly both are beautiful bags.
Congrats!!! I have this bag in noir. I didn’t like it when it was released. I saw it in my store when I had to return some bags for defects and used the credit to purchase it noir...I love this bag and it is a fav bag in my collection....
I love the noir! The zippers and the handles really pop against the black!
I have the v tote bb and love it! Lightweight and easy to carry.
Update! Took the bag to the Firenze store and the manager agreed the bag was very flawed & should not have been sold. She exchanged it and I’ve already moved in! HA. (Sadly had to ask for a manager...the SA wasn’t too thrilled about a bag coming back into the store with issues...they should be as gracious with exchanges as they are for sales). At any rate, beautiful bag. Cheers!
I love your bag! Safran is the most beautiful color with the monogram print- it picks up the gold mono design perfectly.
I love my V Tote MM and its crossbody ~ I added the XL Mono/black crossbody strap to it.
~ mine zips very easily and I have absolutely no issues. Its Noir Monogram and goes from day to night. I also just bought (chased down the store to get it) the Dauphine MM reverse ....which Im crazy about- love the options there as well with the chain or not! Loved the Surene but liked having the option of no chain. I also love the strap that's wider and adjustable double snaps on it to crossbody. It does it all

I like the idea of putting twillies on my V tote! They really pop on your beautiful noir bag well.

The sales girl did it, she did such a nice job I don't want to take it off lol! The Confidential Bandeau would look great on yours as its got the golden - love your color btw.
