Any love fossil?

Just found a pic. I guess it's "liberty draw bucket." I think it was from 2010. It was when I didn't know anything about bags, so honestly I'd probably pick something different now, but it's a nice sentimental piece. Baby's first bag or something. :P

I love this bag! when it was in the stores i was unable to afford it, but when i could, i couldn't find it anywhere anymore! pretty miffed about that. saw the teal colored one in an outlet store but the one i'm lemming is the brown chocolate color. guess it'll be one of those bags that got away!

:) yeah, I think it was only out for a bit, then made a comeback but they'd redesigned it a bit, added grommets or a flap. It broke in and was the softest leather before the rain incident. Actually the back that was against my body is still soft. I like to touch it I have to say.

I'm sure there will be plenty of good bags they'll make in the future though. We can afford to let a few get away... :D

I LOVE Fossil. I think the Vintage Line is great and I have The Weekender with the Cheetah Leather. I had to have it! Fossil Jewelry is so fun and I just bought another necklace of theirs today. :smile1: I also think Fossil bags are way under rated as well.

I thought they are underrated too. I generally like the style. I had a bag for a year, and after a year, exactly after a year when warranty expired, the leather strap started fraying so badly. And I notice the same happens all over the bag (it was a fabric and leather bag). I just throw it away. Not worth it.

If not, I'm sure I'll find something I like more. =) Fossil hasn't disappointed me yet. At least one purse I want, usually several.

I'm new to Fossil but they had certainly caught my eyes with their current collection! :D How long have you own your Fossil products and how are they holding up?

There's a bit of mixed reviews here regarding Fossils on durability from what I see.

I think the leather bags hold up well. I had a couple that latest several years and I sold them in very good used condition. The fabric type are probably good for 1.5 years, depends on how hard you are on your bags.

It probably depends on the bag - I can see the thicker leather of the vintage line being durable but I also have thinner leather. I've had them for about 2 yrs now and they're fine but I have bags that I rotate so it's not heavy daily use. I don't baby though - i put them on the ground and all that. The bottom gets scuffed but it doesn't affect functionality at all.

I bought my first one in February, so not long at all. I beat that thing up when I have it. Certain places I go to (usually rabbit related) I need something that can take some loving, and that's what I take with me. You would hardly know that thing touches the ground.

Before I started buying designer bags, Fossil was my go-to bag. I would buy/have one (yes only one bag for every day and every circumstance) and I found they would last 1-2 years before I had to buy a new one. Usually a zipper breaking or the leather looking totally worn. But at that time I didn't know anything about leather care and I certainly didn't handle my bags with care.

I have some of the new Vintage Reissue bags, but I have yet to use any... and I have so many bags now that none get heavily used, so I can't comment on this line.

For you guys who own Fossil. How do you think the leather compares to designer bags? I've handled a few designer bags, though not the really high end ones and they don't honestly seem any softer or more pleasant to handle. Am i missing something? What do you think?

Fossil is amazing. I've loved their bags and wallets for years! I currently own a few crossbodies and three wallets and they've all held up very well. I do agree though that the their leather tends to scuff up a bit easily, but it's so soft. The only other brand that I know of that comes close to it from personal experience is Rebecca Minkoff.

I have my eyes on fossil reissue vintage satchel but can't decide in the colour. Which one do you ladies think is nicer? Thanks! :)

Black

Ash grey

I'd go for the grey. Looks younger & it can match both dark & light coloured clothing, imo. The black just seems conventional & more of a work/office bag? Hope that helps & let us know which u bought!
