Any love fossil?

I'm in love with the lines of the Fossil Sydney satchel, but I saw it in person at Macy's and wasn't impressed. It was smaller than I hoped and leather itself was thin, not thick and plush like other leathers. For the price it's still a good deal, but now I'm in the market for a bag with the same silhouette but more substantial. I'd like to keep it under $400 if possible too....does it exist?

Hi Fossil Lovers! If you've been to the store lately, you may have noticed that they've redesigned the Sydney line and renamed it Emma. Thought I would review the Emma Satchel and show you a couple of comparison shots with my brown Sydney Satchel.

So the basic gist of the redesign is that the shape of the bag has changed from the rounded boston shape it had before to an oblong shape with a slimmer profile. I believe it does look better carried crossbody now, which is how I usually carry this bag.

Pros & Cons:
The new fall bags are made with a smooth glazed leather which I like more than the pebbled leather they had this summer. It does feel thin but that makes the bag light imo.

There is a seam that runs through the middle now. I don't mind this since the thread matches. The design of the handles has changed, and so have the positions of the rings where the strap attaches.

Key fob is back in metal-- much better than the plastic keys!

Back pocket is gone-- boo!

Feet are gone-- boo!

Zipper is now covered by a flap, which I thought was an interesting decision. I can't say I have ever had water seep through the zipper track of any of my bags before, so I think this was mostly an asthetic decision.

I LOVE fossil! I think I may like it a TINY bit more than coach, only because I'm not fancy or classy like coach bags, I am more practical and youthfully refined. Fossil has excellent quality leather, just as good sometimes better than coach (only because the thickness and substantiality of their leather) I know my leather fossil bags will last me a lifetime if I treat them right.

I love Fossil too!! Fossil was my first nice bag! Before I would get cute bags from Garget by they would only last me a couple months before they started to fall apart. My Fossil bag is almost a year old and still looks brand new. I have the sea glass Preston backpack.

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new here at tpf and, despite being close to 30, just ordered my very first "grown-up" handbag, a large Logan satchel in black from Fossil. I am super excited waiting for it to come and will definitely post pics once it gets here. :) Does anyone own a large Logan satchel already? How do you like it?

Don't have a Logan but do share your beauty when it gets here!

I have been carrying my latest Fossil nonstop since I got it-- Large Emi Saddle Bag in black. Love its simplicity and size, very fuss free for winter.

To get an idea of how much it can hold, here are two pictures from this morning, one full the other with everything out on the desk.

This shows what I have in there, wallet and other essentials, diapers, wipes, snacks for my kids and my pump parts. This bag can really hold a ton!
