I just started doing this for myself, but I've only been buying H since August. Now I have info back to 2011 - thank you!!

Very interesting! Thanks for posting this. It's strange how some things get increased at a much faster pace so that the difference between the formats grows even greater.

Also, I wanted to point out to the gavroche lovers that the ones from the men's department remain cheaper at $160 [they were $150 prior to the increase]. Whilst not the same patterns as the larger scarves, some of the prints are whimsical and fun. :D

Thanks, mimi, your chart is fascinating ~ look at the prices of the Dip Dye and Jersey. Wowza. Steep escalation in those two categories it seems after a brief glance, haven't done the percentages.

A currency devalued by half is a massive loss in wealth, regardless of where people fall on the spectrum.
What is happening today in Russia is eerily similar to the oil glut and currency crunch of the 1980s, which hastened the collapse of the Soviet Union. Yesterday, Citi predicted oil dropping to $20.00, so the financial woes are still in the early stages for Russia and other Oil
States.

As mentioned in this NYT article, there may be some short term uptick in luxury sales to Russians, but the trend is clearly a slowing in that market. People are looking to divest of the ruble and purchase whatever they can now, since the ruble is in a free fall. The US economy, on the other hand, is much stronger and poised to outperform, which is why the US is seeing the luxury price increases.
Fortunately, H was kind to CSGM fans!

I own this scarf, Legende Moghole. It has a price tag of $375 from Bergdorf Goodman. It came in the Christmas sleeve in the picture. Does anyone know what year that sleeve was issued?
